no, if she is spayed she will not come into heat ever again. that is the reason that most people have their animals neutered, is so they can not reproduce and add to the huge animal overpopulation problem. sometimes vets do a partial spay where they leave the ovaries but remove the uterus, in those cases the cat does come in to heat but can not get pregnant- this type of spay is almost unheard of anymore and was always done as a special request of the owner. your cat will not come into season and kuddos to you for having her spayed! I hope she has a long, healthy and loving life with you!

I think that person was confused about your question.
When a female cat or dog is spayed, the uterus and ovaries are surgically removed. The only way that they could go into heat is if some ovarian tissue was left behind, but this is extremely rare.

It takes time for cats to get used to each other, and some never do. Just be patient and be sure to spend plenty of time with your female kitty away from the male. Over time she may accept him, or at least tolerate him, but she may never really get along with him. Just like people--sometimes there's just a personality clash.
Good luck!

OK. When a cat gets spayed, basically what the vet does is take out the ovaries of the reproductive system. "Heat" is basically the cat's menstrual cycle. Without ovaries, the cat cannot release eggs during ovulation and, therefore, cannot have a cycle ("heat"). Your cat will be fine. There will be no pregnancies for her anymore.

Once spayed, your cat will not go into heat and she will not produce the pheremones that attract males to her. However-there are rare occassions where a piece of ovary tissue can be left behind and cycles may continue. IF this happens, your vet should re-do the surgery at no charge

When your pet is spayed it means it can no longer reproduce. So no she will not want to mate with your male cat. so whomever told you that your cat will go into heat does not know what they are talking about.

No, she won't come into heat and she will not want sex, actually if your male cat tries anything she will probably beat him up, lol. Male cats, however, may hump and even have sex even when they are neutered, although they don't produce kittens.

I think that I would try a second opinion from another vet. I have had to do that before with a cat for a completely different reason and got very good results. Poor kitty!

Spayed animals can not have babies, and can not come into heat. That's the whole point of getting them spayed, so they can't do those things.
