Cats justation period is 21 weeks, you'll have to count back to when she was caterwalling and calculate approx 1week prior to her stopping and becoming content; start counting the weeks. It helps if you can relate this time to a specific event or what the weather was like to pinpoint it. Your kitty will look pretty ripe for quite a while and it will seem that she is ready but actually she will not be. If this is her first litter she will not typically carry on characteristics of nesting or hiding. She will however, if she has had a litter previously. Usually when she can no longer groom her bottom, you can pretty much plan on having kitties in under 2 weeks. Let her find her own space and don't move the kittens unless they are in danger. She will find comfort in you if you help her through her labour. Try not to touch her belly and make soft loving soothing noises as you massage her chin and head. Unfortunatly cats tend to go into labour in the wee hours of the morning. She'll probably wake you up because she will be scared going into labour. She won't know what's happening to her and why she hurts. Cats first litters are typically small ones. Kitties are soooo cute, I hope you have little girls to share them with. Oh, they really shouldn't be picked up until their eyes open 1-2 weeks.
Sounds like you are in for an adventure..I hope they are all happy and cute. I've had many an adventure with litters of kitties. We lived on a farm in rural Ontario for several years. At one time we had 23 female cats in the barn. Wayyyyy to much. My mom couldn't get rid of them so she had all the males neutered (there were only 3). Most of the male cats were given up for adoption because they have a tendancy to kill another Tom's litters and female cats are better rodent hunters. Anyway I'm rambelling....I hope this helps.
Teresa.

All of my cats gestated for 60-65 days before giving birth. Your kitty's behavior will really change as she gets closer to her due date. Once she has her babies don't move them unless they are in an area where they could be harmed otherwise momma may abandon them altogether. So about 2 months from the time she shoved her way outside and into the lusting arms of her suitors you'll be havin babies. Good luck and congrats!

She'll start looking for a nice dark place to have them. Start roaming the house and getting into things she's never done before.
