This is my cat: She's sitting outside in her "I'm ready to come in" spot. I open the door. She walks a few steps, stops to lick her foot. A few more steps, stops to look at a bug. Another step, stops to scratch her ear. It goes on for about 5 minutes while I'm standing with the door open like a big dummy. A ten foot trek to the door takes 5 minutes. Oh, I forgot, she will only come in from one side of the porch, so she has to walk around to that side. Does your cat do annoying things like that? Why do they?

How do I get her to sit without a treat I've been teaching this to her 3 days and she's good but only if there's a treat! Is it possible to make her do the trick without the treat?

I am 99.99% sure that my cat has tapeworms and I want to just pick something up rather than try to haul her into a carrier and bring her into the vet (plus vets won't be open until Monday).

Can anyone suggest a good brand or at least a good type? Thanks.

My cat really has me stumped,Ive always had animals but dont know what to do now. My cat is licking herself red raw, started at base of tail and has now moved up back and under belly.I have taken her to the vets who cannot find anything medically wrong with her and my other 3 cats show no sign of hair loss. The vets said i must have changed something to make Smudge stressed but nothing has changed in 2 years and this problem started 6 months ago.We have not moved and i have been with the same bloke 4 years, she is not fighting anymore then usual with other cats and diet has not changed since she was born (i know this as i bred her), no new additions to family either. The vets have tried treating her with numerous injections all of which have failed. I need to get this sorted as the vets say that if this behaviour continues then Smudge is going to get very serseptible to skin infections and will have numerous problems as she is actually breaking the skin as her grooming is that intense.

My cat is 14 years old and I noticed today she is moving a little like she's achy and arthritic.

I had to crush cat's pill into tuna in order for her to take it. I've heard that giving tuna here and there as a treat is okay, but not too often. She has to take this medicine three times a day for thirty days, should tuna be okay? its not even a whole spoonful at a time. Has anyone else had to do this with their cat?

My cats are about 8 years old. One male and one female, neutered and spayed. I feed them about one tablespoon of canned tuna packed in water per day. I once heard not to feed neutered males seafood because of the ash content, it may cause urinary problems.

We got a new kitten, so our very affectionate, needy older cat would have a buddy. Unforunately, he seems depressed instead. They have stopped fighting, but now all the old guy does is sleep. He has also peed on the floor a couple times. A BIG NO NO! I want to get him back to his old self.

What's going on. I mean after one is in for about a week then another then again and again and again!! Then all of them start all over. It's continuous. They are about I year old not fixed and have started peeing on everything even though they used the litter box before and it's changed every other day. I have a male (their brother) that is fixed. What is their problem? Will White vinegar in a rug doctor take the odor and stain out of my carpet and couch? PLEASE Help ...I want to clean today as I have been out of town and I came home to a pissy house and cat's STILL IN EAT!@! Will geting them fixed stop the peeing and heat problem??

Aside from the weight loss and the peculiar shedding/moulting of his hair, he seems to be in pretty good health. He can still move, jump, and climb without too much trouble. He doesn't exhibit any other outward signs (i.e.: pain or discomfort), and appears to be happy and content.
I can't afford to pay expensive vetrinary testing fees, so I'm hoping to find an answer here. All responses will be read and considered.

We have two older cats, around 12 years, and recently we got a kitten. That kitten is now 7 months old and constantly harasses the oldest cat. The oldest cat is submissive and tries to get away. The youngest even chases her out of the litter boxes, we have two boxes because of the third cat and she is chased out of both. It is to the point that our oldest cat is starting to go outside the boxes because of harassment. I have had cats my whole life, I have tried water bottles, and scolding. The youngest shows no intention of stopping and considers this a game. I have contacted my vet to get a shock training collar for cats, they make them just for cats. I want to know if anyone has had experience with this problem and what do they suggest.

Okay last night I was driving down the road and saw a mother cat and kitten that got hit by a car. There was another little kitten standing with them crying so I pulled over and put the emerg. light on my car and spent 20 min. chasing her around. She isnt more than 2 maybe 3 weeks old. I am just wondering what can I name this special little kitten. I want it to be a good name since she was the only survivor of the family. Does this sound wierd? I guess because I have two little girls I just love anything that lives and could never just leave an injured or baby animal that needed help. Please help me find a name for this sweet little cat and any advise on keeping it healthy would be helpful also!! Thanks!!

I have been giving my cat "Friskies" recently and now it's like it has diarrhea. Every night, it purrs very loudly and keeps on meowing. What does my cat want to tell me? My cat is 11 months old. Is that considered an adult?
