It is not mean to bring your cats with you. I am sure you have a good reason for bringing them. Cats do not like change and stress from travel can prove to be upsetting for them. You might want to see if there is a way for the vet to mildly sedate them. I see people on the plane all the time with dogs as carry on. So why not cats? The general rule is one carry on and one personal item. So the cat carrier would be your personal item that would go under your seat. I would think that one cage per cat is the best bet but you know your cats better than me. Do you know your airline yet? If so call them and find out what the rule is. If you do not have one start calling around. I am a big US Air fan but call around to all airlines if you have to find one that will accommodate your needs. I personally would be more comfortable having the cats with me but I am not sure where they would put them - maybe in the luggage compartment. Good luck.

It depends on how large the cage is. Make sure there's enough space for all three of them to comfortably sit, stand, or lay without another one being in their "bubble." But the cage also has to be small enough to be allowed on the plane, you have to check with your airline about that. Sometimes they allow cages in the passengers section, sometimes they don't. Or you could put them on leashes and sit them in your lap, some airlines let you do that. Different airlines have different restrictions and requirements. You should go on the airline's website and search "pets." Some airlines don't even allow pets.

No. airlines today only allow two cats to a cabin per flight, and I am sure they dont allow two in one cage because they have to fit under one seat. Check with the airline and make your arrangements ahead as I said someone else may hav already made arrangements to bring an animal aboard so you would only be allowed one. You can ship them.

About 7 hours...ish. Depending on what time of day. The fastest I've ever made it was just under 6 hours and that was in the middle of the night...longest was almost 9 hours...I came in during rush hour and had traffic all the way from pa jersey line to home.

Don't put all three in the same cage. Get them all their own cheap kitty carrier. Or get someone to board them. I don't agree with flying animals across country.
