Both are stray cats that I have been feeding. They both were in here and the big cat raped the little kitten.... Should I go take the big cat to get it euthanized? Is it possible that the little cat is pregnant? He probably raped her for about 2 minutes

ok so I bought some very playful cats today at Petsmart and I thought they would warm up to me. I have a huge condo with a spiral stair case and two rooms. These cats will not even get close to me and every time i try to get near them they run away. They are only 8 weeks old. I adopted a brother and sister and it seems like when ever the female is alone she cries. Well the male i did hold for awhile now he wont let me get near them. Will they out grow this please? They are playing with each other up and down the spiral stair case but i want them to play with me. I do not have time for a dog but some attension would be nice. It is the first day. I am playing with them a little bit but they are still nervous about getting close. So what should i do? If they do not get better i will return them in a week which is sad but i need a playful cat and a lap cat. I miss my lab.

Hi i have a female 8 month old cat who normally goes in our garden and maybe wanders on the street for a while. We let her out last night at 8 and she'ss still not back. We have looked all over the estate and she is no where to be seen. We have 3 year old boy who is very upset. What do you think the chances of her coming home are? She has never done this before!

We are trying to trap 2 stray kittens (they are hiding in an old trash compactor). We thought that withholding food would get them to come out but it's been a week now and they aren't cooperating. We are worried they will starve. What should we do? Thank you!

I have two elderly, indoor cats (12 and 13 yo). During our last move across country, one of them totally flipped out. Besides freaking in the hotel rooms along the way, she developed a "medical condition"- ruptured anal gland, and required some treatment. About 1 week after we moved into our new digs, we then had to board them for an additional 3 days while we evacuated from Hurricane Rita. Since then, things have settled down for her, but she now RARELY leaves our bdrm. She also has started excessively grooming herself (we ruled out fleas/food issues), and is bald across belly, legs and tail. She was very nervous to begin with, and seems like this last move 1 1/2 years ago really affected her for the worse. Well, we are getting ready for another move (this time local) and I would LOVE advice on helping both my kitties keep their wits. Fire away!

My kitten is around 4 1/2 months old and we THINK she is in heat.
She is making a deep meow, like she is calling and it's driving us nuts. She is always rubbing against things, when I pet her head or back, she will crouch down and "poke" her rear end out and move her tail to one side, she is showing much more affection towards us but less towards the 2 other kittens.

Yesterday when I took her and my other kitten to the vet for a check up and their shots, I asked the vet and he said it was too early.

Is she on heat or is there something wrong with her?

Before anyone gets upset, I swear I would never simply buy a kitten because of some ridiculous aesthetic factor. I didn't buy my furniture to "match" my cat, and I'd never buy an animal to "match" the rest of the decor. :P

With that silliness out of the way, what color cat do you think looks prettiest when paired with a seal point siamese?

Ok. She only likes really fresh water. She used to drink out of the toilet a lot. I've even caught her drinking my bath water or licking the tub after I've had a shower. Here lately she doesn't do either and she seems really thirsty. If I put out a bowl of water she'll look at it and walk away. She might dip her paw in for a second, but she won't drink it. (This is fresh water). I once caught her trying to drink some water out of the sink and I shooed her away. If I have a cup of water, she will try to dip her paw in it or drink it, or knock the ice cubes out on the floor and play with them. I don't know what to do.

Also, when I'm at my computer, she sits on my chair and tries to chew on my hair. Again I shoo her away, I have NO IDEA what that's all about!

Friday morning my cat started to vomit. At first it was food. Now it's a clear mucusy liquid. He's also not eating and is hiding a lot. He won't play and seems very week. I started giving him pedialite last night as recomended by a vet i spoke to on the phone. He is starting to drink a little bit though this am.
Now here's the problem, and please don't trash me as i'm very scared for my cat. He's my baby. I have no money. I just lost my job and i have an infant to take care of also. I also am a homemaker who's just separated from her partner and main source of income.
Please help with suggestions. I'm so scared that i'm going to loose him. We do have an emergancy pet clinic, however i can't afford 75 for the exam. My regular vet isn't in till monday. I've had problems with the humane society before due to a bad landlord so i'm afraid to call them. I've lost so much already, i don't know what i'd do if i lost my cat next. I'm desprite. Thanks in advance.

About a week ago I noticed my kitten had a lump about the size of a marble on her belly (by the back right leg) I went to the vet and he said it's probably nothing serious and to monitor it and let him know if it gets bigger. Well I check yesterday and it has gotten bigger about the size of a small egg and there are two more developing. I called him and he prescribed antibiotics and wants to see her but he can't get her in until Tuesday. Does anyone know what this could be? Could it be an infection in her teets? She hasn't gone into heat yet and I'm getting her spayed on Tuesday as well. Has anyone heard of such a young cat getting an infection like that? I'm praying it's not cancer or anything really horrible...she's my baby

He was de-clawed almost 2 weeks ago and was then boarded at the pet hospital. A couple of days after he was home he started to sneeze and wasn't very energetic. His paws are fine.

The vet said that some kitten have a type of herpes that remains dormant until a time of stress, like a surgery, and gave him some medicine. He's even more non-energetic. He usually follows us around and all he does is sit. I'm worried about my kitty.

he still has a tremendous appetite and meows really loud and likes to play and can still move around. Is it possible he can live into his 30's? The only problem I can think of is he has trouble hearing and tends to space out a lot.
