Depending on how old your cat was when he was fixed will determine how domineering he is to other cats. It has to do with dominance. He's the boss and he has to make sure the kitten knows it. Also if he was fixed late, he remembers the odors of cats coming into maturity and he smells the kittens hormones beginning to surge.

I agree, I have leash trained my cats and every so often I will take them out to the park on their leashes or take them to my parents who has a fenced in pool area and I have some tie out leashes that I put on them so they can wonder a little bit more but I'm out there the whole time with them and keeping an eye on them and everything. when we get a house sometime in the future we will be investing in one of those caged in enclosures that a cat can safely be outside and not get hurt. but a cat should never be alowed outside to roam around free. I couldn't imagine doing that to my cats. I just don't have the heart to kiss my boys goodbye and hope they come back uninjured and with out disease or come back at all, I love my cats too much to do that.

Whenever male animals smell blood on a female animal it can cause them to think the female is ready to breed. I had a dog who use to get excited when I had my cats spayed or they were hurt and bleeding. He should stop once she heals up a bit. You may want to keep them apart for a few days in case he hurts her accidentally.
