My cat has been sneezing lately. I'm wondering if I should be worried about this. He doesn't seem sick at all, but he does sneeze several times a day. Could it be allergies, or could he have something worse that would need to be looked at by a vet.

Dogs know who their masters are, but cats seem to act like they are the masters. Why is this?

My cat "Delicious" is about 8 months , has vet visits regularly, eats and plays normally. But about a month ago i noticed her lip being a bright pink color. Thinking nothing of it but noticing how strange is that for a cat to have such a bright pink bottom lip. So a couple of days ago. Me and my husband took pictures of her and noticed how obvious her lip was....and today i looks like its swollen. Im not panicing because i actually think its quite funny how a cat could end up that way! But if it is serious i would do the next best thing for her and make sure she is better! Please could someone tell me what could be the matter and is this normal for her growth?
Thanx
P.S. SHE IS NOT SICK AND HAS BEEN TESTED FOR ALL DISEASES!

I have a 10-month old cat, previously pure black, down to the very last hair. But in the last three months, his fur has been changing. First, the fur around his neck went reddish-brown. Then he started turning grey in certain areas. Now most of his underbelly is a stark, almost unhealthy shade of grey, and the texture of the fur has changed as well.

Is this just fur colour genes kicking in late? Or could something be wrong? Any ideas?

she brought it over to my house so i could groom it for her
but the thing is she had already previously cut the cats hair with the scissors so his hair is all screwed up she wanted me to shave his fur so it could grow out again evenly but the scissor cut aren't coming out and his hair looks really bad she doesn't want to take him to professional groomer soo i dunno what to do...his hair is really knotted and nomally i can groom animals pretty good but in her cats case no because his hair is really uneven with the trimming she already did and then he won't stay still long enough for me to get a good buzz...i offered to take him to the professional groomers for her but she didn't say anything about it...i would be able to do it good but the shaver we have sucks...it doesn't shave good...so help what do i do??
she is waiting for me to finish but how do i tell her i just can't because of the scissor cuts she already did?

thanks

I had been told that there is a homemade formula with popular cleaners that get rid out of stinky carpets due to to stinky cats... my cat peed right outside her box the other day and i had steamed and use arm and hammer powder and still there barely, not as much but still there! She is so cute is almost impossible for me to punish her besides i didnt notice until few days after, but i really need that formula. I think someone paid like 10 bucks on line for the formula but i dont know the website, anyone....?

I have observed that those who love animals are always the kindest people. Sometimes animal lovers and I include myself in this, often strike non animal lovers as a bit mad.

Sometimes the non animal lover sees those people who are as insecure in there relationships with humans and distant from the real world. Do you think this is true? Debateable?

When animal lovers are in personal relationships does it suffer because of the affection and attention given to an animal.? I don't think so.

Have you ever felt jealous of a pet?

People who own cats have often been said to be more intelligent than those who own dogs, this is as result of the independence of ownership. In Britain there are 7 million cat owners and 6 million dog owners. A curious fact. More cat owners have university degrees, phds, and MA's than those who own dogs and other pets.

I have always thought those who don't own a pet are missing out. Pets have so much to give unconditionally this is not so with man.

I usually pick up my 10 week old kittens by the scruff of their neck to hold them and they dont seem to mind. Is it ok to do this and if so how old is it still safe to pick them up this way? id imagine that you wouldnt want to pick up an adult cat by the scruff... is this true?

Otherwise when they are not sleepy all they care about is playing and pouncing and running away... i cant tell but i think they run away in a playful way... i hope not in a scared way. They sometimes tolerate being held but usually they don't really like it too much. They mostly cuddle when they sleep on my face at night (its very cute). Anyway is this normal for a kitten or are they considered undersocialized?

Actually my cat is very attached to my husband. His name is Hugs and when ever my husband goes to the bathroom and closes the door Hugs scratches the door and sits there crying his heart out like if my husband will never come out. I am wondering if he misses him or hates the door closed?

To anyone who has ever loved having a pet.My pet was a cat and I have always said that they have personalities and characteristics which you miss when they are gone.

Around the 11th of December 2006, I noticed a lump on the side of her neck. But I could do nothing, I had serious food poisoning. So It was the 21st of December when I took her to the vet. The news shocked me. It was cancer he said, without taking any tests. He noted other things were wrong and her bill of health was bad, he felt she would not live long into the new year.

Medication was prescribed to see if things would improve, and for awhile after I felt I could see a difference. Then changes occured again, in the week beginning 22ndJan 2007, I felt that her throat was hardening like a golf ball and Sunday it ulcerated. My neighbour and I, decided that unless a miracle was possible we had to put her to sleep Wednesday 31st Jan. My home feels empty. It was very fast in developing and there is a lack of info. ??

Okay, so I've never had a cat before. I got a kitten back in September; he is now approximately 7 months old. He is an american shorthair, and he hasn't shed up until about a week ago. All of a sudden, he's shedding, and it's winter.. I'm assuming that cats shed like dogs (just because I've only ever had dogs). Sorry if I'm being ignorant; I guess that's why I'm asking this question. Also, he has been sneezing a lot in the past few days. He had an upper respiratory infection when I first got him, but I got him vaccinated and he took some antibiotics and it seemed to clear up (he hasn't been back to the vet yet). Also, for the past couple of days he's been throwing up - not a lot, just a little spit. Someone (who has actually had a cat before) told me he could just have a hairball and that it may take a few days for him to get it up.. is this true?

Sorry for the lengthy question; I'm just worried about my kitty. =(

Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you!
