Yes, a ragdoll is a breed of cat. But your cat must have ragdoll parents in order to be full ragdoll.
edit: it is true that the cat's coloring (in this case, tabby) does not have to do with its breed, but from what i understand, ragdolls tend to be colorpoint, mitted, or bicolor; i've never heard of a tabby one.

Hi Krystal...Ragdoll cats are pedigree however if your cat wasn't an offspring to two Ragdoll parents then she would only be considered a Domestic Long Hair (DLH) with colour points.
A breed is a domesticated subspecies or infrasubspecies of an animal by defination therefore a cat to be a ragdoll must be born to ragdoll pedigree parents.

There's no money in it. It's a VERY expensive hobby. Reputable breeders and show people put out much more than they make. There are too many Ragdolls in the world, we don't need anymore. Just enjoy your kitties. Maybe foster some from your favorite shelter.

breed has nothing to do with the colour of the coat
if her mum was a ragdoll breed and her dad was too, then your cat's a ragdoll. simple as that.

Yes. Ragdoll is a breed. We have a bi colour one - A siamese and the beauty of these cats is that unlike persians they don't need brushing everyday as they don't get knotty! They have a great laid back nature too and get along with kids and other animals.
