I had been told that there is a homemade formula with popular cleaners that get rid out of stinky carpets due to to stinky cats... my cat peed right outside her box the other day and i had steamed and use arm and hammer powder and still there barely, not as much but still there! She is so cute is almost impossible for me to punish her besides i didnt notice until few days after, but i really need that formula. I think someone paid like 10 bucks on line for the formula but i dont know the website, anyone....?

Straight Vinegar-will not discolor carpets -but at Petsmart can get ENZYME Animal Urine, blood, vomit and so forth Cleaner is a whit bottle with Red writing and approx $10.00. But whatever you use it has to go also into the padding where most odors come from ffor seep down into it through the carpet fibers. I use vinegar-soak the are and leave for approx 20 minutes and then blot up with paper towel until paper towel is clean. Also is your cat has faithfully used the litterbox and all of a sudden goes outside it-make sure you keep litterbox fairly clean-no strong urine ammonia smell for cats will not use then-also first sign of illness is cat all of a sudden will not use esp if bladder infection. I'd take her to the Vet and have her checked. Also check your Cat food-make sure no By-Products(the junk parts of the animal ground into powder and is NOT TOO HIGH IN MAGNESIUM-should say low in magnesium for too much can cause bladder/kidney disease and one of the signs is that cat urinates outside of litterbox. Hopefully just accident but i'd take to Vet for if something wrong the earlier treated the better chance of cat getting better.

I don't know how old your cat is, but I recently adopted a kitten and haven't bought a single toy. A balled up piece of paper provided her 3 hours of solo entertainment as she chased it and batted it around... it then ended up in her water bowl but hey - she had fun before that. The other thing I've done is tie a bit of cotton around a folded receipt. I then tied the other end of the cotton to a handle and let her bat at that. Finally, I don't think there is anything she loves more than an empty toilet roll. There are several scattered around the bathroom (her night time room) that she plays with endlessly. Cats are predators, so pretty much anything which will encourage them to pounce, chase and stalk will go over a treat.

We use straight white vinegar to nuetralise cat urine smells at the shelter. Works great, even on tom cat urine. Just soak it right down to the underlay (If on carpet). That is where the residual smell will be
There is no need to spend mega bucks on a "formula".

I got a homemade mixture formula on Ebay for $8.99. The seller emails you the formula and it does work! It's 3 common ingredients. Look up "Cat urine eliminator" on ebay. You just mix it up and pour it on the area and let it dry. All the instructions come with the formula.

White Vinegar, make sure it sits for a few minutes on items with padding or carpet. Cats do that when there box is dirty or they have a urinary tract infection. If it happens again, make sure to take her to the vet.
