The kittens started eating regular cat food at 4 weeks old. From the time they were 4 weeks old until they were 9 weeks old I did not see them nursing at all. In the last week I have caught them nursing multiple times. When they were about 5 weeks old the momma kitty's mammary glands hardened and I thought her milk had dried up. Is it possible that her milk came back or are they just fixated with the sucking and kneading motion of nursing? I am keeping 2 of the kittens, so they will be in the same house as momma kitty. How can I wean them? Please help!!

One of the feral cats outside seems to have a really bad cold or the flu. He's lovely and still comes for a stroke warily but when he purrs he's all blocked up, keeps sneezing, has stuff running from an eye and his nose. We can't catch him to take him to the vets as he goes balistic. Mum says he might also be put down if taken to the vets. Will he? And what can we do to help. We've given warm milk, blankets covering a hot water bottle etc. Any info wanted. Thanx

I have a two year old cat that I love to death but she is always chewing on wires (Her latest our new LCD TV Wire) . She has lots of different toys but she still goes back to the wires. It is getting real expensive and I don't know what to do any suggestion? Is this normal for a full grown cat?

There is a wall between my closet to the bathroom. In the closet there is a cut out portion so you can have acess to the pipes. The cut out has come away from the wall so the pipes are exposed.

My cat decides that she is going to crawl into the wall and hide under the pipes!! She has been there for an hour and a half. I can't see her and she has stopped responding when I call her. I don't know what to do! Part of me says leave her alone if she got in there she can get out. Another part of me is scared to death. Can anyone help?

When I brush him I get a large amount of dander off him. It has been dry and cold in the NW and Im sure that has contributed but I think he needs something to make his skin and coat better.

I believe the cat was being abused by the person I got it from. Guy at work was taking it to the pound, I got upset and took it. It only relates well to my 5 yr old daughter, and runs away from the rest of us. I have tried gently petting it on the head, and it cowers down really bad...My husband wants to find it a new home. It is a beautiful cat, and I hate to give it up. I dont know much about the temperment of this breed though.

I have known my cats to catch mice but they either just seem to bring home the kill because they are proud to show it off or they don't eat much of it. However I have a young cat now and I saw her catch her first mouse last night in my house (yuck...I felt bad for the mouse when it was squeaking but I didn't want it in the house either) Well I was too scared and just stood on top on the sofa and watched my cat carry it out of the room by the tail after she got it and didn't come find her. Now I can't find the mouse anywhere. I know I may find it in some weird spot but no luck so far. Is it possible that she ate the entire thing? Do cats actually EAT mice bones and all?

Hi, just wanted to help out the woman asking about preventing her cat from kneading on her quilt. I completely forgot about the little tips veterinarians and pet catalogs sell for cats claws.
You clip the cats claws, be careful of the "quick" or the cat will bleed, then place the tips on the cat's claws. This will help to prevent damage to your belongings, without causing the cat any undue stress. He will still be able to knead, scratch, etc., without harm.

We noticed a few months ago a snow leoppard bengal cat in our neighborhood, it mainly hung around the neighbors house. My GF inquired to the neighbors thery said they allow it with thier cats in the house occasionally. My GF exspressed intrest in it, the neighbor brought it over in a carrier the other night and told us to either adopt it or try and find it a good home, as the just had a newborn baby a week ago, and didnt have time to try and tame it.
The cat I'd gues is 8 months or a little older, very beatiful animal, just real shy of humans. We had it in the house 3 days now, and it hides constantly from us, but I caught it playing with our seal point siamese when I was comming out of another room last night. They were rubbing on one another, the bengal had her tail up in the air, then she noticed me, off she went under the couch.
Ive been trying to associate food with us, shes eating and drinking, and using a temporary litter box, when we are not around.Just looking for some tips?

We have a new 4 month old kitten who likes to pick up pens, wads of paper and other objects in her mouth and carry them off. I am thinking that with a little bit of training she could be trained to bring it back to us. I have never done this with a cat before. Any ideas?

We currently have a 10 year old grumpy male cat and wondered if introducing another equally aged male cat might cheer him up and provide some companionship. Our cat cries all time even though we think we give him enough attention as it is. Will a new cat make things better or worse?
