I have known my cats to catch mice but they either just seem to bring home the kill because they are proud to show it off or they don't eat much of it. However I have a young cat now and I saw her catch her first mouse last night in my house (yuck...I felt bad for the mouse when it was squeaking but I didn't want it in the house either) Well I was too scared and just stood on top on the sofa and watched my cat carry it out of the room by the tail after she got it and didn't come find her. Now I can't find the mouse anywhere. I know I may find it in some weird spot but no luck so far. Is it possible that she ate the entire thing? Do cats actually EAT mice bones and all?

She didn't go back outside nor into the basement where finding the mouse would may be impossible...

Yes, they do. Well fed cats catch usually just for sport, but sometimes they will eat them.
One mouse a day has all the nutrients for a balanced diet for a cat.

Actually, cats rather have the play, and kitt then the eat. They love to tease mice (and other rodients). They will never eat them, but watch out how many they kill. It is good they do it but you dont know what they have ya know. Cats can get infected by mice and other rodients, from playing with them after they kill them. This is not good. So if you find that mouse, dispose of it. If the cat is inside and outside, he/she might have taken it outside. Also, if it is only inside kitty, it will most likely be somwhere really close to where you usually are.

My cat always brings what he kills to the front porch, side-walk or by are of are doors. He is an inside/outside kitty cat. He brings us home, mice, birds, rabbits, and even some moles sometimes. He is awsome! Very good about protecting my mommy's vege garden. :) (he is getting old to, going to be 6 or 7 soon.)

Oh, yes, bones and all. Whiskers (my old cat, can't remember not having her, she finally passed when I was 17) would kill all kinds of stuff, but we didn't appreciate trophies left on the front porch. What people don't seem to realize is that if you -take- the mouse, rat, squirrel, bird, mole, bat, snake, lizard, rabbit, whatever your cat has brought home (and yes, these are all things that she had brought home at one point or another) and throw it in the garbage or dispose of it in some other manner, well, THEN your cat figures "Well, they ate it, I'll bring more!" We would tell Whiskers that she was a very good cat and give whatever it was -back- to her. She would then go off and find somewhere quiet to eat her kill. And yes, she'd eat everything, bones and all.

It depends on the cat and the way the cats parents were brought up, some will eat the entire mouse bones and all. Just keep looking but don't be surprised if you don't fine any bones they may have been eaten and that doesn't make the cat a bad cat. Some cats hunt to kill, others hunt to survive!

my cat once ate a mouse, just leaving the head. So, yes, they can eat bones and all. Some cats will just play with the mouse and not eat it at all, so you may possibly have a mouse body somewhere in your house. So, just hope that your cat ate it.

some do but most cats would rather just play with and kill the mouse and eat their own food instead.

My kitten book says the healthiest cats are the ones who get an occasional mouse. So i would assume it is ok. No worries.
