There is a wall between my closet to the bathroom. In the closet there is a cut out portion so you can have acess to the pipes. The cut out has come away from the wall so the pipes are exposed.

My cat decides that she is going to crawl into the wall and hide under the pipes!! She has been there for an hour and a half. I can't see her and she has stopped responding when I call her. I don't know what to do! Part of me says leave her alone if she got in there she can get out. Another part of me is scared to death. Can anyone help?

I dont know if I would call the police or anything like that..
Holding out some tuna might do the trick..
Ok..if she got in through a hole in the wall, or where the wall was..can you take something, and maybe tear the rest of the wall off, wherever you think she could be..? I mean, you would have to replace your wall later on, but you could save your cat..
If the wall has already been torn up, a little more wouldnt hurt..
Maybe she is sleeping..dont panic yet, see if you can tear more of the wall down, since its in your closet anyway...You can replace the wall later...

In my town, the police and fire department won't help. Their words to my mom, "mam, we quite rescuing kitties out of trees twenty years ago".

Put tuna or a smelly treat by the hole and some light so she can have a direction to navigate herself. If you are in a home, she is probably found her way into the crawlspace and is investigating. In that case, you could go under the house for her.

If she doesn't come out soon, call a plumber. They are used to getting into walls and can help you out. It will cost you (plumbers cost more than a Doctor), but they typically are fathers of children with pets, and would charge you their normal rate for fixing a plumbing problem.

My cat has gotten in the rafters between our basement ceiling and 1st floor. She wanders around up there. To get her down, I flashed her with a flashlight, and brought some tuna to her. I had to get a ladder and grab her because she was having too much fun. Now I keep that area off-limits to her!

One thing I did to get a kitten out of a wall was I grabbed a wild cat that had kittens and trapped her in the house with her kittens outside. She made quite a racket calling her kittens to her and the stupid one in the wall finally came out. Then I kicked them both outside.

If your cat is not a kitten, you can try setting that smelly canned catfood just outside the closet and blowing a fan toward her position across the catfood. Leave her to figure it out for an hour.

If you use an electric can opener to open her cans, use it. Might be enough to entice her out of the wall.

You can also turn on the water in the bathroom. Try COLD water first. She might come dashing out. If she decides she likes the cold, try the hot.

Cats rarely get themselves in where they can't get out. Take a deep breath and relax. She is probably being contrary and will come out when she's good and ready. Come to think of it, squirting a squirt gun into the wall might make her more ready to come out.

I have been in your position expect with 5 kittens. The mommy decided to get into the attic (put it was a ventalition attic you know bad stuff your not supposed to breath in) so my dad started in a hurry. We kept calling the kitty cats, they will respong even with a faint call. Follow there voice to where they all, about 1 foot away from where they are slam into the wall, with a hammer or something, but make sure your measurements are precise first. Then put your arm through the wall feel for your kitty, then grab kitty and cuddle with kitty all night to make sure the kitty is okay. Eventually you can get your wall fixed, it took my dad a year to get ares fixed though, but he covered it. And make sure that all this kind of stuff (like your pipes) stuff are COVERED so something like this doesn't happen again. and NO yelling at kitty for this, he/she doesn't know any better. They are curious thats all.

Put a dish of tuna or her favorite canned cat food near the hole. An hour and a half isn't that long yet. Cats love to explore, and if she's not responding she could just be taking a nap. No need to panic yet. Wait a bit longer and she will probably come out on her own.

O Dear!
Normally, I would say to put her favorite treat close enough where she can smell it but far enough that she has to come out to get it. Stay out of the bathroom for a bit, and leave her alone. When she's out, Throw a towel or something over that hole!
In our town, we can call the fire dept. if we can't get ahold of the Town Animal shelter to "rescue animals". Hopefully, you have that resource! Keep us posted!

Do you have a favorite toy or treat that you could entice her with? My cat comes real fast if he thinks I have the canned food out, will she come for that? Otherwise just stay back and she will probably come out on her own.

If she gets into a spot where she can not get out, she will cry for help. At that point, you may have to call someone to help.

whatever you do don't force your hand in there. it may get stuck and you will have 2 problems. your cat just needs some space. if she isnt out at noon today call the FIRE DEPARTMENT not the police. the fire fighters know how to deal with this better and have better tools (no offence to police reading this)

I would call the police if I were you. If she is not responding, this could be serious. If she does get out, however, you should try to block off that area. Best of luck!

Hold out a treat in the hole & then she will come out. She's gonna come out when she's hungry....unless you have mice in the pipe area. Once u get her out block the pipes!!!
