My cat got a hold of a wishbone I had been drying out (where I thought she wouldn't get it) and swallowed I presume about an inch long piece. What are the chances she will experience ill effects from this? I don't want it slicing her insides open!!!

Have you noticed that a cat's lower back ripples when stroked? Does anyone know why it does this?

my cat stays in the kitchen at night as he was ran over when he was younger, and since then we have not let him outside at night. we shut him in the kitchen at night because, if we let him have the run of the house then he would scratch the carpet. but he still scratches the kitchen door and cry's. we have tried covering the door with a blanket but he still wakes us up. what can i do.

My cat has recently been staying up all night, pacing the halls and meowing to the point where it sounds painful. No matter what I do she keeps this up for hours (six hours last night). I've tried holding her so she knows shes not alone, kenneling her, keeping her awake all day, but nothing has worked at all. She's been doing this for about a month now, which is how long my husbands been a way on a business trip. Is this seperation anxioty and how do I fix it?

Don't tell me I'm a horrible cat owner I don't want to hear it.

My cat just had a litter of kittens, three beautiful toms and one gorgeous queen. I'm just wondering if my cats nipples are going to go back to normal when they are done suckling or if they are going to stay large.

Thanks for your answers in advance.

Do you have a siamese cat or know one....do you have a funny story about them.
I have one and the other day she fell in the toilet when she miscalculated a jump.

Me and my partner are wanting to move to bulgaria and own our own farm. So we can live off the land. The problem is we have 3 cats all 2-3 years old.

Is it possible to make them a suitable food from any of these ingrediants...

pork / chicken / trout / wheat / corn / eggs / other vegetables?

we don't want to be buying anything like suppliments ideally, we just want to know what the cats need as part of a healthy diet

because I'm planning to bring my cat into the cabin when I move and I'm wondering if she will meow the entire time or freak out? She's between 1 - 2 and an indoor cat. Has anyone ever brought their cat on as carry-on luggage and put them under the seat? I guess if she gets too upset I can take her out and comfort her while we wait on the second plane because we have to change planes on the trip.

My cat is 22 years old he is great health for his age and very active. Indoor/outdoor his whole life. He has lost allot of weight and constantly has diarrhea. He has been tested for numerous things and checked out ok. The vet suggested special food witch I was already giving him, that helps a little. Is there some kind of natural colon cleanser or something to clean his digestive track I can try? or any other suggestions...Thanks

This is a not a question for practice but for philosophical debate...
PETA will LOVE this one.
Is there an ethical difference between eating beef and eating cat?
I'm not discussing flavor or other food quality issues... just ethics.

My one cat just had two kittens four days ago. They had a thin layer of fuzz and my mom said they looked like they had smooshed faces and short toes. The one died within a few minutes of birth, but the other lived for 24 hours. From what she explained, I think they were premature.

My question is, how was she able to have these two kittens without showing any signs of labor and still be able to retain the rest of the live kittens four days later? Could the first two kittens have actually been twins in the same sac? That would explain why they would "seem" ready to be born. Thanks!
