Let me say right at the start, that I like cats. I don't LOVE cats, but I do enjoy having them around. I love to watch the way they move.

As I go through life, I have met many people who openly state that they HATE cats, which does seem rather an extreme view. But I have often observed that people who hate cats can be untrustworthy in other ways. In particular they always seem to be the type of person who places their own wellbeing before every other consideration.

Has anyone any comments on this or am I prejudiced?

My cat's whiskers and eyebrows were burnt. I think she was under my furnace when the heat went on. I don't see any burns on her skin, but I am concerned. Is there anything I can do to make her more comfortable? Should I take her to the vet?

I got my two kittens spayed on Wednesday. Both of them have a hard spot on both sides of the stiches. This afternoon, I discovered that Annie's wound was weeping, and was much more swollen than Megan's. I can't afford to take them to the emergency vet, but will be taking them to regular vet first thing Monday morning. Any suggestions for the meantime?

i think my cats are trying to take over the planet because they always gather my clothes up in a circle and sing to them every night at the same time. they sound like dogs too, and their eyes always stare at me at night and they light up like glow lights. do you think my cats are part of some high staff of cat killers or do you think they just wanna kill me?

My cat is 13 years old. She was in perfect health up until about 2 months ago when I noticed a sore on her tail that had a bad odor(necrose). We do not have any other cats, and she never goes outside. I took her to the vet, and he was not sure what had caused the wound. He cleaned and stitched the wound, and he put her on antibiotics. That didn't work, her skin around the area kept dying and the wound grew quite large. She wasn't eating, and lost about 2 pounds. She ended up having to have her tail amputated. After about a couple weeks she is doing better, and has gained some weight back and is even playing again. Two days ago, I was petting her and felt something beneath her fur on her hind leg. When I looked at it, the fur came loose with a thin layer of skin attached to it, and there was a quarter inch red looking sore on her skin where the fur had been. She also has a few bald spots that I have recently noticed. I am keeping an eye on the sore for now, but what do you guys think?

I was just wondering if anyone is actually dumb enough to believe that vets actually care about your pet's, and not the Money they make treating them.

If they honestly cared they would not turn away a dieing cat. I once had a pregnant Cat who was haveing a very tough time delivering.
I called the only 24hr clinic around me only to have them say she is dieing and I have to rush her in ASAP. But that they won't even look at her without a $1000 deposit.

She is aparently dying and the only thing they cared about was the money. They wouldn't even take a check, or would not allow me to make payments.

$1000 cash or your cat dies

Very Nice Eh.......

I am just lucky she pushed out the kitten's in the car on the way!!
And was perfectly fine after.
she had 3 kittens

I only noticed them a few days ago.
I've tried to cover him in a flea spray which of course he wasn't happy with and was very wriggly. This didn't kill any.
Then a tried a liquid thing that you squirt on the skin which doesnt appear to work either.
I've just been trying to comb him with a comb but its pulling his fur and hurting him. I got quite a few tiny one out but i couldn't let him endure it any longer.
Any advice would be great thank-you.

I upgraded my dog food to a better choice based on the ingredient list. So I figured I should give my cat something better too. What ingredients should I be looking for and not looking for in cat food?

Since ive never seen a cat take down a cow, beef cat food seems odd. Why not pigeon or spider flavour?
