Some flea medications are okay to give to pregnant cats. I believe Frontline topical is pregnancy approved. My vet also gave me Capstar (oral) for my dog when she was both pregnant and nursing. If you're not comfortable using flea products (because the majority are pesticidal products) consider trying a shampoo such as Head and Shoulders (for people) or Lemon-scented dish detergent.

I wouldn't - it will get in her bloodstream and could affect the kittens. Read the box carefully (all the small print), and if it doesn't specifically say one way or the other, ask a vet before you give her any kind of medication.

I'm pretty sure the flea meds I've given my pets before say not to use them on pregnant animals.

I would be cautious because she is pregnant. This is definitely a question you should ask the vet. If her fleas are bad he may recommend it because she can become anemic. Just phone the vet and they'll give you the answer over the phone.

I would recommend a flea collar or Advantage on her. Shouldn't hurt the babies.
