cats have a natural fear of water, and they are usually very clean and dont need to be bathed, they clean themselves, however if you feel you need to clean her try using a wet sponge rather than an actual bath, and try not to have the sponge too wet and also make sure to dry her REALLY well cos in cold weather they could easily catch the flu!! oh and im not sure whether your comment on milk/water was a question but ill go on anyway!!! kittens cannot drink cow milk like we can, theres too much lactose in it, their stomachs are the size of our thumb nail. you can buy special milk for them or as i do, mix a little milk with water and then give it to them, this helps with using less milk and also can wean them off milk and onto water!!! oh but dont put them on just water until theyr at least 6 months to a year!!

Okay animals especially kittys really dont like to be bathed, and they will cry no matter what (meaning kittys) when you bathe them especially since it is still a kitten. It is good to bathe a kitten but wait till it is a little older, and make sure to talk to your vet about certain soaps to use. You dont want the cat to get infected or get a rash. Also, kittens are Very VERY vunarlable to flea's at the young age, so that is why you bathe them. When they get to be a full cat size, dont bathe them anymore. They can take care of there own fur. Kittens drink luke warm milk, and moist food. Slowly wing them off of milk, to water, and moist food to hard food. (make sure this is all kitten moist and hard food), You can do this by 2 1/2 to 3 months, start putting a small bowl of water and hard food next to there other food. Eventually they will get curious, and try it out. But a cat should have at least one can of moist food every day.

I have had cats for over 25 years and none had ever been bathed.....they are very good at doing it themselves.
My 2 cats bathe each other in the hard to get areas.
I gave them kitten formula(they were found just after being born) until they were old enough to eat kitty food. Milk is not good for them.

As a groomer, I applaud you for wanting to bathe your kitten early. If they get used to it early on, it won't be as much a problem when they get older. Most cats have a natural aversion to water because their fur absorbs water, so being wet is pretty miserable for them. They can't just shake off like dogs do to get dry. Also, water in their ears can cause serious damage, so they naturally avoid getting their head wet. Not all dogs enjoy baths either, even though they generally love to play in a sprinkler.
Make sure her head doesn't get wet, and don't bother with shampoo the first few times unless you have to. Also, be sure to towel dry her well and then brush her out, or her fur will get matted.

All cats/kittens are afraid of water especially when they are young. My cats drink water. Occasionally we will give them milk maybe once or twice a yer. It isn't that good for them. I usually give my cats baths about twice every 6-8 months. They might not like it but it's just like with dogs sometimes you just got 2 force it...if they get 2 dirty.
Hope my advice helped...Good Luck!! :)

Cats dont need baths unless they really got into something messy. Kittens drink water unless they are not weaned off momma's milk.

ok first of all if you wanna KILL your cat listen to the first guy but if not don't.
what you do is get maybe a smal lbucket or just fill the bath tub myabe a few inches.remember cats do hate water and it is natural. but wear some gloves unless it is declawed. then get some cat shampoo and conditioner and just carefully rub the cat maybe like petting it. then gently get a small cup and fill it with water.poo it over her back slowly and make sure the water isnt freezing or istn burning.it will meow and try to jump out so i suggest using one hand to gently hold the cat and one hand to first calm it and then gently bath it. you also may want to use one of those flower watterer things that comes out like a shower.use a smalllone though so it doesnt drown it.

First of all,
Cats hate milk. LOL.
Well at least mine hate it.
Cats hate water ( to bathe in it ) a lot.
They can't stand water.
They can live without bathes, so
unless they sleep in the litter box,
there is no need to give a kitten a bath.
Also because there skin is new and
warm and delicate, water is rough.

If you read the labels on any cat bathing products, it will say not to use for a cat under 12 months old. However, for our new kitty, there are some wipes that you can get at the per store that you just wipe on them to help clean them. Keep in mind though, that kittens/cats spend a lot of their day grooing them selves and are excellent at keeping themselves clean.
