Your cat may have had brain damage at birth or something, kind of like a mentally retarded person. It doesn't mean she can't be a fine pet. I had a dog who was born with something like cerebral palsy; his hind legs were paralyzed. He could walk but he kind of dragged his legs at the knees. He was okay on grass or inside, but we tried to keep him off the sidewalk because he would skin his knees and feet. We used to take him to Dairy Queen and give him his own ice cream in a cup. He was a good dog and I didn't care when people said things like "what's wrong with him?" etc.

i have owned dogs and that i have owned cats, and both are both gorgeous, pleasant, and being concerned in case you're taking care of them with an similar love, friendship, and care. I have a 14 year-previous Maine coon breed of cat now, and he's popular with even as i'm no longer interior the domicile because he will %. lower from side to side between the rooms of my domicile searching for me till i'm getting domicile. And, he's waiting on the door when I do get domicile. My brother has a announcing--"dogs have vendors, and cats have a team." --meaning "i am going to help you puppy me when I ask you to." perhaps cats can't play fetch the frisbee or in spite of, yet they're some thing yet dumb. The sweetest noise interior the international is a kitten (or maybe an finished -grown cat) mendacity on your chest and purring on your ear, his way of telling you he loves you.

This awful, I feel sorry for the kitty cat. She/he is like this, because most likely he/she was inbreaded. Meaning his mom and dad were probably brother, and sister or very close in blood like that. This can happen with dogs, too. I'd talk to your vet about it, they might be able to help. Also, get your kitty some laz around things (two story bed type able to climb, and sleep) you know something that can help your kitty.

my kitten was like this though, that was because she was hit by a car when she was very young. so we took her in. im sorry i cant help with it though, we had to put her down when she was about one. she kept having seizures and was in to much pain for us to stand. your cat sounds much healthier though and im sure she will stay with you longer than maggie got to stay with us. i would probably take it to a vet though. we cant really diagnois your cat with being 'dumb' if we havnt really looked at it. im glad your concerned though and that you care about your cat. and just because i dont want you cat to be hurt again either, maby you could put her in a padded cage when you go to sleep or when no one is aroud. it actually wouldnt have to be a cage either because she cant jump. just make sure there is water [and food if your going to be gone for more than 5 hours] and a litter box. that way she has less chance of injuring herself again. hope this helps you darling and i hope your cat can get better, and if this is just something shes born with i hope you two have a good life and treat her right!

the poor cat. it is a genetic thing. no way to fix it. and no cat is "dumb" they just behave different. how would you like it if your cat asked if you were dumb on an international cat website?
