My human has the best combing practices that I have ever seeing. They are kittens for God sake ... and cats clean themselves. They are not dolls.
This is the time that they do most of the socialising, so if you have more than one kitten, they would be rubbing each other scents. Also being more active than older cats. Just brush and fine comb them sometimes. Good luck. Miaow

Animals should ONLY be bathed in animal shampoo, human shampoo is a different pH and is usually much higher in detergents, which can cause skin irritation. Even baby shampoo is too harsh for some pets. Unscented baby wipes are good, and you can also get "waterless bath" wipes from the pet store. Febreze is fine for smells in the house, but I wouldn't put it on the cat. Regular brushes don't get the shedding underfur out, look for a "curry comb" at the pet store, these work MUCH better at getting the dead haircoat out. The more you brush out, the less they shed.

If you fill up just a little bit of a bathtub, let your cat sit in it for a while, then come back and gently pour little amounts of water over her back, but to do the head, make your hand very wet and rub your cats head. I did this to my cat and she smells better. I would check the shampoo botle to see if it says "tested on animals" if it does you probaly can use a very little amount!

I bathe my cats in johnson's bedtime bath for babies. Smells like lavendar and is tearless. It makes them smell good for a couple weeks.

Go to the pet store or walmart. You can buy rinse free soap and then brush them. They will smell oh so good!

Hi there...consider using unscented babywipes so that the kittens will not get sick from when they groom (lick) themselves as Febreeze can be toxic or any other substance sprayed on their fur.

It's an animal, not a toy. Cats smell like cats. They are not cats to please you.
