Actually my cat is very attached to my husband. His name is Hugs and when ever my husband goes to the bathroom and closes the door Hugs scratches the door and sits there crying his heart out like if my husband will never come out. I am wondering if he misses him or hates the door closed?

Hi There,
My cat does the same thing. The reason why is because when they are taken from their mom. They will need a new mom, but in this case it's a father. They become so attached to a person that spends the most time with. That they don't want the person to leave her/him. It happens to me. When I go to school my cat starts to cry all around the house until a couple hours later, but she stayed in my room for a long time so now I'm her mom. So, it's the same with your husband, but not a mom. He is a father to the cat. Well, have fun. It will start annoying you after a bit. LOL. Bye.

Cats can be very fixated on their human. Also, cats dont like doors...lol... whether its the closet door or the bathroom door, my cats often try to open them. One of mine will also paw the shower curtain open while I am in there. Dont worry too much, and perhaps just allow an extra moment to let the cat come in too before shutting the door.

He just doesn't ike being shut out...try leaving the door open, or let him in.
But even weirder...my male cat used to love to climb into my ex-husbands pants after he dropped them below his knees & sat down on the toilet...he would have to remove the cat to be able to pull his pants back up! lol

Try closing the door when no one is in there. See if Hugs meows then!

same for me. i think they just like how interesting the bathroom is. especially using the toilet. my cats jump up and watch the water go down the hole out of the time. they are hooked on my bathroom!
