About a week ago I noticed my kitten had a lump about the size of a marble on her belly (by the back right leg) I went to the vet and he said it's probably nothing serious and to monitor it and let him know if it gets bigger. Well I check yesterday and it has gotten bigger about the size of a small egg and there are two more developing. I called him and he prescribed antibiotics and wants to see her but he can't get her in until Tuesday. Does anyone know what this could be? Could it be an infection in her teets? She hasn't gone into heat yet and I'm getting her spayed on Tuesday as well. Has anyone heard of such a young cat getting an infection like that? I'm praying it's not cancer or anything really horrible...she's my baby

I'd stick to what your vet has reccomended, but I hate to say it but it is a possibility of cancer. Hopefully it's nothing of that sort! My kitten at 6 months old had kittens, and that's why she had lumps, but other than that... I can't think of what it could be! GOOD LUCK!!! GET BETTER KITTY!!!

It doesn't sound like an emergency that you need to rush her to an after hours clinic but defiantly get her looked at it could be the belly button hernia or maybe there was a small cut and it got infected it's hard to say without looking at it but I would keep her inside until she is looked at, don't touch it and don't give her milk it will giver her the runs. Usually older cats have floppy belly's so I'm not sure why she would have this... is she eating? make sure she is eating enough food and drinking enough water. She will be ok until tomorrow I think. Just give her space until the vet sees her to make sure it is nothing to serious. Good luck, hope she is ok!

I hope that your kitty does get better also; make sure that you take her back to the vet. We had a little calico cat that developed what you are taking about and it turned out to be cancer. It's horrible to think of and I'm hoping that these are just cysts but you need to stay of top of it and try to find a vet that works primarily on cats, not horses or dogs.

It sounds to me like she has a hernia. If you are getting her spayed on Tuesday, the vet should be able to remove them while she is in surgery.

it could be a cyst or a tumour in or near her mammary glands. it could also be a fat build up.
