First thanks to all those that responded to my other question about my new cat Tweek.

As I said earlier I got Tweek from a friend of mine that couldn't keep him because she had to move. Other than Tweek being kind of a freak, hehe, the only problem is that I have a mild allergy to cats. Ive had cats before I had allergies but in the last few years Ive grown somewhat allergic to them, mainly watery and itchy eyes. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can keep my allergies in check OTHER than PILLS?

A friend told me she had to give away the family cat when she was pregnant. She said one can loose the baby if a cat is living in the same house. Is this true?

I was just curious who has purchased a kitten from a breeder before? I was wondering what steps I should take to protect myself. What forms do they make you sign and what should you do before you put down the non-refundable deposit? If anybody could give me a list of good steps to follow from begining to end, that would be very helpful. Thanks!

My adult male cat, Rocko, LOVES to lay at the foot of my bed under the covers. I have just started noticing these tiny things that is where he lays. They look like little bity kernals of some type...I mean little. They do not appear to be living things (i.e. fleas, ticks, or larvae). At the end of the day I look on my sheets and there are about 20-30 of these things.??? PLEASE HELP

I just got a cat from a friend of mine that had to move and she couldn't take him with her. Tweek (the cat) is already very anti social even for a cat but since he's been here all he does is hide in a few different places. He is eating but he will not come out when Im around. Any advice would be appreciated.

We live on a farm and have 3 one year old cats who use my kid's sandbox as a litter box all the time. We have a fenced in yard for our kids but the gates are too high to keep the cats out. Is there anythign I can use to deture them from the sandbox?

he doesn't have ear mites, got him tested today. the vet said if he keeps scratching to bring him back. He has been scratching and still is, that's why he went to the vet today. Maybe he just needs them cleaned out, what's the easiest way to do that. He's a major crybaby, he screamed bloody murder today while he got his shots. Thanks

I live with a roommate who has 2 cats, and I have one cat myself. Her litter box is uncovered, and she doesn't clean it very often. However, it doesn't smell at all. My cat however, has a covered litter box that I clean every few days. I use the powdered litter box deodorizer and that arm & hammer litter. My cat's poop smells sooooo bad! It stinks up the whole apartment.

I was thinking maybe it is my cat's diet. I feed her Purina's (i think that's what it is) Indoor Cat Formula, and also for her evening meal I feed her fancy feast. My roommate's cats only eat dry food. Do you think this could be it? My cat has been eating canned food for dinner every night, and she won't stop bothering me if I don't feed it to her. Any suggestions!?

Some of it appeared to be a dark red color, but most of it was the brownish color of the cat food. Now, my cat has been sitting in the same spot since I got home. What is wrong with her?

We had to put my daughter's 8yr old cat to sleep yesterday. She had mammary tumors which started rupturing and we knew that at this point she was beginning to be in some discomfort. We didn't want to see her in any more pain so we put her down. I have never witnessed this before and I actually had to leave the room (leaving my husband to be there alone) and I only saw her after she was dead. I can't get the image of her lying there - not moving. I feel terrible. The Vet said it was the right thing but she seemed so happy still. I suppose it's normal to keep questioning your actions at this point but when will I feel better!? My daughter is taking it better than my husband and I are (she's 10) and I'm glad. I just feel like a killer! Please help me feel better....

I have a year old cat and yesterday my mom's friend left to go out of town and asked us to watch her dog. We are now watching this dog, and it's extreamly friendly, but how do I let these 2 play with each other?
After work yesterday, I came home and started to play with the dog, I brought it near my cat to see what it would do and let it introduce eachother, and my cat poofed up her tail and kinda punched the dog. I'm afraid to leave them alone because they might hurt one another! Right now, my mom took the dog with her to run her errends, but any good advice? Or should I just let them be? It's funny though, when the dog has its back turned and walking away, my cat stalks it and visaversa! Really cute and I want them to play with eachother too!!

Thanks all for your help! :)

My 3month old kitten has recently started sneezing quite a bit. We recently discovered mildew in our house could that be the cause? We also have two rats one of which has a viral respiratory infection, could that be trans-species contagious?

My fiance and I started to foster kittens and my older cat stopped using the litter box. Even after all the cats were adopted out, she kept going on the carpet. It has been a month since any extra animals have been in the house and my cat has started urinating in the litter, but still refuses to poop in the box. We've begun to crate her when we're gone and at night; it seemed to work. Then we started to let her out more often, but within a few days she goes on the carpet again. Its always in the same spot in the house; five feet away from the litter boxes. * A note about the room*. The litter boxes have been in the same room in an extra large wooden box and when our god daughter stays she sleeps in that room.
