I adopted a not quite two month old kitten. It had worms, a problem with it's eye, and a respiratory infection. At first she was getting better with the eye medicne and antibiotic but now she isn't hardly eating or drinking. She started sneezing and there are blood clots along with fresh blood coming out of her nose. Mostly when she sneezes. But at times the blood just drips out of it and she acts as if she is in pain and doesn't want touched. She was a very loveable cat who liked to play. Is this something serious and should I have her put down?

My cat was healthy, happy cat. No health problems I heard her crying one night and we found her dead under the porch. I think someone poisoned her.

I fed my cat cheese ( I know, I know, bad idea!) Well, now that I know I made a mistake, I will never do it again. But, now, he has the shits! What do I do? It started a few days ago, and I'm concerned! He will be visiting the vet soon, he's due for his neutering. But for now, are there any at home remedies that I can do for him? Any tips or advice? please?

What should I do??? My cat pees in the other cat's litter box, and the other female cat pees on furniture and in my cat's litter box. They don't get along at all.

to use the toilet? I read about it and know how to do it but do you have to start when they are first learning how to use the litter box or can it be done at any age? (my kittens are 8 months old)

My male cat will be fixed soon. What are some things that should know about taking care of him afterward?

We "inherited" this cat, we think she's about 2 yrs old.She goes into heat every 2-3 weeks it seems! We don't have the money to get all her shots & spayed & we don't know what to do! Also, she has a habit of peeing on clothes if they're left on the floor...her litter box is cleaned regularly & she uses that too...will getting her spayed help with this or is there something else I can do?

She's getting to be a teen-ager. She knows boys aren't allowed over, and so far we've had no problems with that. But. Is it time to start marking lines on the liquor bottles? Getting a v-chip for the teevee? I'm especially worried when re-runs of old 'Saturday Night Live' with 'Toonces, the Driving Cat'* are on. She's too young!!

I get home and it's all "brrp! brrp!" and then purring, but I have a feeling there's something going on that she's not telling me about.

With all the bad influences in the media -- even in family newspapers, it's "Look -- go eat lasagna, make fun of your person, hate the dog, and don't exercise" -- and have you ever really listened to Tom Jones? "So go and make up your cute little pussycat face!" One of these days I'm going to come home to mascara-enhanced whiskers, and it's going to break my heart.

Any tips for keeping a teen-ager on the straight and narrow?

My cats seem to be strangly attached to me. They seem to be really sad when I'm away for a day or two. Do they have feelings that can be hurt?? Just wondering. I know, I'm the crazy cat lady. I just don't want them to be sad.

One of the neighborhood cats had a kitten. We have been feeding it and playing with it and it has gotten very used to us. It is about 7 months old. We are thinking of moving and taking the cat but are afraid it will run away or not be happy. It would have to stay an outside cat where we move. Our neighbor is also moving and said they would take it (as well as about 4 other neighborhood cats) and make it an indoor cat. The mother would go too. What is better for the cat?

I have a cat that is about 10 and he constantly wants to eat. He will not let our other cat eat and will usually try to climb the counters to eat human food as well. The lady who used to take care of him spoiled him rotten. Is there any way to correct this behavior?

My cat (he's doing it right now guhhh!) fighting me for my macaroni and cheese... for some reason he likes hot food better. My question is this: How strange is it that my cat LOVES people food? Oh! He loves it... He usually has mannors, unless - like tonight - there is milk or cheese involved. He seems to like spicy food... all kinds of stuff. He hasn't ever gotten sick or anything like that (as he only gets "tastes"). But, is it abnormal? I give him a full bowl of food everyday and he eats it up everyday..slowly. He drinks A LOT of water (2-3) sm. bowls a day. Is he gonna be a fattie when he grows up? (he's 5 mo. now) Is it unhealthy, or is it like dogs? Also - real quick - I heard milk is bad for dogs, its not bad for cats is it?

is fixed and lives indoors and has all of his shots so far. Is it "normal" that he still has desires to "boink" my blankets? Wouldn't this "desire" have left him since he was fixed? How common is it for this to still happen? Also why does my male kitten pick up his back leg to pea like a dog does? He started this a few months ago after he was fixed. My vet has no idea as to why this is??? Do you?? Serious answers only please. Thank you.

LOL my girlfriend's cat makes a chirping dolphin type noise when she sees birds outside the window. She is an indoor cat.

And another time we were using a laser pointer with most of the lights out and I shined it into a halogen bulb on the ceiling and it made a funny reflection and she did the same noise.

Anyone else have a cat that makes this noise? :)

I named my cat Dyna... Like the cat from Alice and Wonderland. He's 1/2 siamese ( and soooooo cute!) Only thing is - he's a he. Every time I refer to Dyna as "Dyna", everyone asks if he's a she. Is Dyna a girls name? ... Cause the Dyna in Alice and Wonderland sure looks like a dude to me. Give me your thoughts.

sorry i didnt know how to phrase that. I have 2 kittens, ones almost 4 months old and the new one is about 2 and a half months old. The new kitten is doing just fine with the other cats but the older kitten is refusing to accept him.

A few days ago while I was in my room I noticed a wet area on my carpet like someone was walking with a wet sponge and it had dripped onto the carpet. Not a whole mess of pee but it was still there. I figured it was Oliver, the older of the kittens, so I rubbed his nose next to it. I thought he would had gotten the point by then but then when I walked into my room again today I noticed more pee in the new bed we bought for the new kitten.

I don't understand what I should be doing to train Oliver the oldest because he wasnt doing that before the kitten, and we already have 2 adult cats (4 INDOOR cats now, I know its a bit much)

I'm running out of room now so if anyone has any tips for me I would really appreciate it :)

I just adopted a kitten who is six to eight weeks old and was born feral.
He is quite debilated with a touch of pnuemonia and is underweight. He has an eye problem that the vet is not sure if it is just an infection or what. She gave me eye drops to give him three times a day, and it looks to be on the mend, but is very swollen, red and crusts over easily.
I have been bathing the sore eye with disposable cotton pads and warm water to wash away the crustyness and help ease the pain.
My question is...does anyone have any suggestions to further ease this sore eye problem?
He is on amoxicilian (two doses a day), and just had his first vet visit complete with baby shots.
He is eatting very well, drinking well and using the litter box ffrom day one too!
Thank you for any advice you can give me to help him.
PS He will be getting neutered as soon as the Vet says he can, and even though he is a total indoor Kitty, he will NOT be de clawed because I think that declawing is evil.
