More than likely he has a urinary problem, he needs to be put on a course of antibiotics for that. You need to let your vet know before they do the surgery about the blood in the urine. With him having a infection, they might decide against doing the procedure. You want him to be completely healthy before undergoing surgery and anesthesia. The roundworms that cats and dogs have are spreadable b/w the two, they can also be spread to humans. You want to watch your daughter around the kitty and around the kitty litter. Roundworms can cause illness in humans especially young children and immune deficient adults. It was very smart of you to deworm him, and you want to deworm him a few more times over 3 week intervals. Then you want to make sure he is vaccinated and dewormed annually. When you take him in for his nueter, please inform them about the urine so they can take a urine sample and get him started on anibiotics, and that way they know what is going on and they can decide whether to do surgery or not.

It sounds like he has a urinary tract problem and they may not want to neuter him now until it is cleared up. You need to have vet input and treatment if that is the case.

The worms can be spread from cat to cat if the wormy cat leaves his feces in a communal box and the other cats get their feet in it and then lick their paws.

It's pretty difficult to spread to people as the worms need to be ingested.

You must de-worm all cats in your household. With the blood in the urine, ask your veterinarian tomorrow. In fact, I would merely take the cat in and then proceed from there with the veterinarian. Professional help is always the best in these situations.

When you take him to the vet in the morning, talk to the vet (or vet tech) about this problem before you leave him there. They may need to run tests to find out the problem. You certainly don't want it to be something serious and possibly cause complications with the surgery. Just make sure to remember to tell them about the blood in the urine.

Good luck and congrats on your new kitty!!

Sounds like he may have a urinary tract infection, which I've heard male cats are especially prone to. your vet can help with this. I'm not sure about the worms, ask vet also.

Its a normal urinary infection, he might not be able to get nuetered that soon now. I think it has to clear up first.
