She's about 7 years old and just recently started to act really weird. She used to jump up on beds to sleep, but now she just lays on the floor. She goes outside and comes back soaking wet, but she hates water. She is walking very slow. And she won't even acknowledge that anyone is near her. And, If I try to move her, she meows like she is in pain. She is fixed so it can't be that she is pregnant. I know I can take her to the vet, so please don't answer with that response....I am just wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong with her.

We got this cat that is 5 years old from the humane society and it has been sneezing and coughing ever sence. We took him to the vet and they gave him amoxydrops. We have been giving them to himfor 5 days now and he is not getting any better. They also gave him a shot for leukimea. Now my question is what about my other cat ( who is very healthy) is he going to catch it too. I have caught him sneezing a few times in the last couple days.

I rescued a stray cat yesterday, well he was being fed everyday since march, by a women who had cats of her own, but couldnt let him in because her own cats would fight him. She made him a shelter on her patio and he never left her yead. he is 2yrs old....im getting him netured friday. Hes super sweet and loving. Hes been eating regularly, but has not pooped or peed....hes afraid of the litter box...and wants nothing to do with it...he sometimes sits by the door wanting out...guess he thinks he can only pee out there? how do i let him know he can "go" in the litter box...or even in the house, that way i can put his feces in the box and he can smell them. Help Please!...

For the past week or so, our cat Sushi refused to take care of her baby. She did enough for him to keep him alive but she wasn't as good of a mom as our other cats were to their babies. This was her 1st litter and she only had 1 kitty - very strange. The baby, a boy we think, was born out of the sac feet first - a difficult birth. He almost died because he wasn't birthing for many minutes until Sue kept licking him to stimulate breathing. We thought he would be fine but Sue wouldn't nurse when he's cry. We tried locking her up with the kitty but she'd just cry and claw her way out. Recently, she's been moving him around the house back and forth every few hours, either moving him on the couch beside me or in a closet, etc. The baby was cold and crying so i held and wrapped him in my shirt. He fell asleep against my stoamch, purring. I thought everything was okay. taht night, Sue brought him on our bed to sleep. He was fine. This morning, I found him under our pillow, dead.

...how serious do you think this is? As I say, I will take her to the vet today after I get home from work. Will you please say a prayer for my poor kitty? I have no children, so I am really attached to her.
Will you say a prayer that my little Cindy will get well? Thank you so much.

i have a 10 year old cat - yesterday and today he started vomiting and first it was food and now it just saliva. he keeps trying to hide under the bed and every time he goes to walk he has a deep meow like he's in pain. this morning i tried to move him and he wouldn't even let me touch him - he gave me a warning growl. it seems like he has pain in his back legs but i'm not quite sure what that would have to do with him vomiting...also he is a indoor cat, any suggestion to what might be wrong? i love this cat with all my heart and am taking him to the vet tonight (although i have no idea how i'm getting him in the cat carrier as i can't touch him)

A majority of her fur is a mix of light brown and dark brown and black and she has solid black on the backs of her front legs and orange splotches on the back of her back legs and on her mouth and cheeks and white on her paws, under her chin and under her belly, that is like 5 different colors, unless the light brown and dark brown is considered 1 color then it is 4.

Annie, my new kitten, and Cinnamon, my 2nd old cat, don't like each other. Danny, my oldest cat, and Annie are just fine, but I think Cinnamon disowned me. What can I do? Is this normal? Will Cinnamon forgive me?

All my life i had never heard of an indoor cat. The first time i did, v recently i thought it was the crulest thing ever. Ive just bought a kitten and have been researching the facts. After hearing that on average cats live 5 years longer if they are house cats i cant help considering it. Do you think its possible to have a happy house cat or does the freedom factor outweigh the danger factor.??..This being cars, fatal diseases, fleas, Catnapping etc

I just like to play with my cats, but they hardly talk to you when you look at their cats. It's as if they don't own cats, they own a piece of jewelry. No offense, its just an observation. Comment?

I have a 16 year old cat who has grown up with dogs all 16 years of her life until last spring when the last dog died. We just got a 7 month old coon/german shepherd mix and the cat will not leave the bedroom. she has met the dog, the dog has shown no agression towards her. she won't leave the room to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. We finally had to bring food adn water into the room for her, and now she has started pooping in the room. When we carry her out of the room, she growls at us, hisses at everything in sight and will not calm down. What can we do?

For those of you who have had cats affected by the Hartz products, what did your vet do for your cats? I finally got ahold of a vet and the office call is $35, which I can do that, but they said that if they have to do anything else then there would be more charges, which is understandable. How much did they charge you and what did they do?

Thanks to all of you who have answered.

Well, first off I was given some Hartz 3in1 flea drops for my 2 year old cat Brooklyn. Ever since then she acts like it burns her head, and is acting really weird. I done some research, especially here on Yahoo answers and found out that Hartz is DEADLY. Just great - now I need to give my cat a bath. I've been trying to get ahold of a vet and nobody in my area is open and nobody can help me, so I have to wait for 3 hours before they open.

My question: How do you give a cat a bath without getting your arms tore up? She's still eating food and meowing, but I am not taking any chances. I love this cat too much and I will NEVER use Hartz again. PLEASE HELP!

We have used the following and so far it has not worked; Bob Martin's Home Flea Spray, Silent Flea Spray for the cats and Spot On. I've had nearly 50 bites and we have an 8 week old baby boy.
