He had two teeth removed a month ago, the bump wasn't there then. He's fully recovered except for the bump that showed up recently.

Got a question for ya......are you feeding your cat out of a plastic dish ? Because I had a cat with the same type of thing. Turns out....cats can have some sort of allergy to plastic. As soon as I got stainless steel bowls for her to eat and drink out of, the problem went away. I always called it Kitty Acne. lol

It is possibly feline acne which can strike at any age. Cats can get big zits, little ones, or blackheads, just like people. Make sure your cat gets clean water every day, clean the bowl regularly, and do not use a plastic dish, which harbours bacteria. I got my cat from the pound and his poor little chin was completely black, among other problems. Within a week the acne cleared up, just from being in a cleaner environment.

I had a white cat once, it keep getting what looked like blackheads on its chin. I took it to a vet, and that is what it was. He told me to take a soft toothbrush and rub the area until the blackheads were gone. At first it was hard to do, until my cat got used to it, then whenever they appeared again, I do it again, few minutes at a time and always gave him a treat he like afterward. That seemed to help.

It's probably an ingrown hair. My cat used to get them. It also might be a bug bite or he may have accidently scratched himself when scratching.

If it doesn't go away after a while (few weeks), call the vet.

Well i'm certainly no vet...perhaps it is an abcess, Cats can quite often get these, one reason,i believe, is due to cat fighting...infected scratches etc.I have had this happen to my kitties several times over the time i have owned cats.If they burst it can leave quite a hole and lead to further infections.

My cat gets these. I think they are flea eggs - the fleas lay eggs under their skin. They clearly hurt -- she won't let me touch them. We put flea treatment on her (the kind you put between the shoulder blades -- you have to get it from the vet and not use the over the counter kind which can poison them) -- and the "kitty zits" go away.

if you are using a plastic bowl for food and water you may want to switch to stainless steel or ceramic

plastic cannot be disinfected and such things when on cats faces are often from drinking out of plastic

Add my vote to the feline acne. Dont try and pop it. :P

Use stainless steel bowls or ceramic. It is a reaction to the plastic bowls.
