I have 3 cats, and I purchased a LitterMaid in March. One of them stayed and watched it do it's thing and he figured it out and uses it religiously. The other two flat refuse to use it. I set up another litterbox with the same litter next to it and didn't clean it that often so they would see that the Littermaid is always clean, but they don't get it, and I think they're scared of it. What's ironic is one of the ones who refuses to use it hates having a dirty litterbox. Since it's been so long, I left the regular litterbox dirty and didn't clean it for (yuk) 4 weeks to really slam the point home, then removed it. They started crapping on my guest bed. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I mean if a cat and dog were the exact same size and in a fight, do you really think the dog would stand a chance?

Help! My cat is recovering from upper respitory infection. He developed red eyes earlier in the week. My vet says this is normal. she prescribed Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Bacitracin Zinc Ophthalmic Ointment USP. When I was at the vets office, I did not realize that this was a gel. I am having a very hard time getting it in my cats eyes. I have been trying to put a small dab in the right corners of the eyes, but it my cat wiggles so much and gets so irratible you are messing around near his eyes, that I get it all over the fur in the corner of his eyes. So I dont really think any is getting in his eye. Can someone please tell me if you might have an easy technique to get the gel in the cats eyes? Thank you so much!!!!

I was fishing and took my neighbors cat with me in the middle of our pond in my boat. It was hot out so I decided to put him in the water to cool him down. The dang thing scratched me and I dropped him in the water.

He swam for about 10 feet then sank like a rock. I feel bad but thought cats could swim. When my neighbor asks me if I have seen his cat I don't know what to say.

I am a first-time cat "grandma". The cat is puking up what we have determined are hairballs. Without going to the Vet, what advice do experienced cat owners have? I am leary about giving her over the counter meds. Are they OK? Is the food I've seen labeled for hairballs good? Or better? Or do I really need to go to the Vet?

We live in a very rural area and sometimes get scorpions in the house. Our cats will find them at night and kill them. My husband finally saw one of our cats CHEWING on the scorpion until it was dead-- but we couldn't figure out how the cat was doing it without getting stung!
Any ideas or anyone else seen this or know about it??

some "irresponsible" individuals on here ask questions about their pregnant cats and newborn kittens. they say that there is something wrong with them and they're sick. well guess what, if you would have spayed your cat then you wouldn't be worried about it and wouldn't be asking these question!! it's like DUH!!!! it's not rocket science people!!!! I'm talking about the people who just DO NOT choose to fix their pets. oh, and if anybody says that it's to expensive to spay/neuter your cat then you are dead wrong! you can take your pet to your local SPCA and they will gladly spay/neuter your cat for almost NOTHING!! peolple are so ignorant!! I'm just trying to get a very imporant point across to them and what do they do, they report me for saying how I feel about their situation. it's VERY hard for me to be nice to individuals like them because they seem like they just don't care!!!! these people can't handle the truth!!! I guess for them the truth really does hurt!

I have a tom cat and every time i start to give him a fuss and a stroke he starts to drool (from his mouth). He is really loving and likes to rub his face on mine, but then i get drool all over my face. I have had him from when he was born and he has always done this. but my female cats don't. Is it just a boy thing? Or is it just Kai's thing???
