I'm sure that if you either waxed or shaved a cat and tried to pass it off as a hairless cat you'd get into trouble. The reason is that the hair will eventually grow back and the new owner will probably come looking for you to "scalp" you!

My friends shaved their cat because it got into something sticky in the kitchen, but not just because. I'm guessing waxing would probably be something that could get you in trouble with authorities as some kind of torture. Selling it as "hairless" would be fraudulent, and anyone stupid enough to buy it could take you to court and sue you for fraud--and trust me, lawyers fees to defend yourself aren't cheap. Also, even if you shaved it or waxed it, it would not look like a hairless cat... the stubble of re-growing hair would give it away.
My recommendation would be to get some therapy... If you dream up crazy ways to hurt animals and defraud other people, you need some SERIOUS help, or you just need to get a life!

That is probably the dumbest question I've ever heard. Guess what genius, the hair will start growing back within a couple of days. If you were stupid enough to actually wax or shave a cat I'm pretty sure that whoever you sold it to would come looking for you and give you the a** kicking you'd deserve.

What sort of insanity would lead you to believe you could wax a cat? That'd take a LOT of wax, and I don't think you'd get a cat to sit still to let you put one strip on, much less take it off, and then continue with the entire body! Plus, you could seriously damage the cat's skin, and then it'd look like a sick, hairless cat, and nobody would buy it. Crazy. Find a better way to make money, and leave the kitty out of it!

RSPCA would have a lot to say to you about that - for one thing, the cat would probably get sunburnt, and I've been told in the past that cats get skin cancer more easily than humans (Yes, cats CAN get skin cancer). Also, a cat's fur protects them in cat fights, so there's a big issue there...
As for selling it as a hairless... Lets see, false adverstising, intentionally lying about the product... I smell a lawsuit.

It is illegal to misrepresent something when you sell it. It is defined in the Deceptive Practices Act. After you get a notice from them, you also have your picture in the paper as the Humane Society files charges against you for cruelty, as well. Think of something else---like cutting grooves in worn-out tires to make them look newer. Yeah---that's the ticket!

Yes. You could get sued, AND in jail. Both of which you would deserve, but only after having your entire body and head (and ears and nose) waxed first.

I can't believe you would even think about doing such a thing. Why don't you wax your head and see if you can pass as being bald!

I would hope you get in trouble. What kind of question is that? Why would you want to hurt an animal to benifit you bank account? Would you want someone to do that to you?
