Yep - our cat does the same - totally ignores us for a few days - no pats, no cuddles, no nothing !! That's their way of telling us they're 'pist' off with us !! But they always come around 'cause they love us :-)

Yes. It happened to us when we went away for a week to Disney World. My step sister went over to the house to feed the cats and she gave them milk because she had never had a cat before. Well when we got back home, the cats just meowed for a long time without stopping hardly. It took them about 2 or 3 weeks to finally start coming around us again. I guess they were mad and thought we abandoned them or that we weren't coming back. Poor kitties.

It's actually normal fo rcat's to do this. I've very rarely known a cat that dosent' act wierd in some way or another. Sometimes Mine hide, sometimes mine make "sand castles" in the middle of the floor (yes she will drag a potion of little to the middle of the floor and pee on it). Do realize, that this wil pass before too long and that she will act back to normal within a couple of weeks.

I've had that happen before. Went on vacation for three weeks and came back to pick up my cat from pet boarding and she was pissed. She ran away from me when I tried to pet her and was vocal. As if she were scolding me! Then again, she's a siamese and they're pretty vocal anyway.
It took a week for her to get over it. Though she always acts up when I go away.

I guess from reading all of your responses that I am very fortunate that my cat acted just the opposite. When I returned, she was exceptionally affectionate and followed me around, much the way a dog would - both responses were uncharacteristic for her.

Yes but not like that. My cat would crave for attention and wanted to be petted more then usual. Other then that shes fairly normal.

My cat is a beach when I go away. She hides from me, comes around and sneaks her food then sneaks away. So I have to sneak up on her and grab her then when I pet her she forgives me.
