im almost out of options, my cat wont keep softpaws on, and only uses the scratching post when he's near it even tho we have one in everyroom...i read about lazer declawing, which is safer and almost painless compared to the old way...think its too expensive?

My kitty makes squeaking sounds, instead of meowing, and instead only meows if he wants food. Another kitty of mine opens her mouth as if to say "meow" but makes no sound.

My husband has dogs....I want a cat. I love cats. But he claims it is because they shed.....that he will not ALLOW it....this is 2006, isn't it? ALLOW is not in my vocabulary, but I would really like to know if there is a specific breed that does not shed.

I just adopted a white Persian. I've always had dark haired cats so I don't know if the black streaks she has under her eyes is normal for white cats or not? Kinda like her eyes are running. She is scheduled to go to the vet next week but was just trying to find out if this was anything to worry about? Also, if there is any way of getting rid of it? She will NOT let me wipe anything under her eyes.

Okay, when a question is asked, and they honestly want a good answer, and then all these self rightiuos people jump in with "HEY YOU CAN"T DO THAT!" "WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT?" I ask, when can i put my kitty out after her surgery and what do i get? No there are hardly any saying "Oh, two weeks, ten days, whatever" No, they're all saying "DON"T PUT YOUR CAT OUT! IT"S DANGEROUS!!!" WTF?! That isn't what i asked! I know it's dangerous! Would you lock your child in a tower in order to keep them away from the evils of the world?!

Sorry about this, but does this annoy anyone else?!

She has had her food changed. She doesn't have fleas. She has taken 2 different antibiotics and steroids.She eats and acts okay.She has not been spayed because of her open wounds. She rarely goes into heat.She is about one year old.

My male cat (who IS neutered) sprays the laundry in the basement. Only In the basement to the laundry (dirty or clean) does he do this. WHY??? His litter box is clean, he's a good cat otherwise.

dropping nasty answers and questions about cats on here. I think, from a look through his past posts, he likes dogs, esp. Dobermans. What if we started posting bad things about Dobermans or just things like we cat people are sending a troop of specially trained Attack Cats (Ninja Siamese?) to his house to have done with him and his Dobermans? Every once and a while we find a nice little DEAD bird or mouse or bug in the house, it's so gross! We enjoy letting our cats wander in and out of the house as they please and they are pretty tame well mannered cats for the most part. This morning we discovered 3 birds in the house, and i just found another underneath the kitchen table! The cats are so used to going in and out and i dont want to have to keep them inside on nice days, but how can i prevent them from bringing these little presents into the house? or better yet, not kill them?

I have the cutiest little gray kitten. I found her in July and have been bottle feeding her but now she is big enough to eat on her own. She is female and solid blue gray. I've tried several names but nothing has stuck. Any ideas?

Just purchased a new home and dont want to lose my cats but, they will be outside more. How do I protect the carpets upstairs when they are in. I usually had 2 litter boxes inside. But, I would rather not do that. Maybe one in the garage.????? PS> I want to keep the cats.
