Okay, when a question is asked, and they honestly want a good answer, and then all these self rightiuos people jump in with "HEY YOU CAN"T DO THAT!" "WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT?" I ask, when can i put my kitty out after her surgery and what do i get? No there are hardly any saying "Oh, two weeks, ten days, whatever" No, they're all saying "DON"T PUT YOUR CAT OUT! IT"S DANGEROUS!!!" WTF?! That isn't what i asked! I know it's dangerous! Would you lock your child in a tower in order to keep them away from the evils of the world?!

Sorry about this, but does this annoy anyone else?!

yes it is annoying and very rude, some people are asking ligitimate questions and just want an honest and kind answer, we always have the smart asses... and the ones that give an answer and know nothing about the subject, or are quick to jump to conclusions. to answer your question which is asked by many pet owners is keep her in for 3-5 days to make sure she is healing up fine, i would not put her outside on a full time basis for about 7-10days because of the risk of other cats maybe fighting. or her getting into something, cats heal up pretty fast in this procedure, just keep an eye on her to make sure she gets no infection ...it does happen but not often...most of the time dissolving stitches are used, the risk of tearing stitches is not a problem unless extreme roughhousing is done. she will be a little sore for a few days, and may just lay around, this is ok, she will get aound more when she is up to it ..good luck

It is annoying to get answers from people that are rude and inconsiderate. You have to take in account of not everyone is going think your question over but harp on you instantly. The question you asked is a little how would you say crude. Sometimes you have to read between the lines of some peoples questions. Which most people don't do. It's your cat and what you do with it is your business. If your going to put it out could you take it to an animal shelter instead of letting it out on the streets. They could find a home for it or something. In the meantime don't take peoples opinions and comments to heart. Not everyone is going to give or attempt to give a considerate answer.

Yes! I wouldn't want to live in a hosue all my life. My cat loves the outdoors.Yes, there are some cats' lifeespans that are reduced from the 'outdoor dangers'. But, on the positve side, there is obesity from jsut remaining indoors too. Cat's would probably have a lot more fun outdoors then just indoors all my life. That's my view on the 'outdoor cat' debate.

I don't think its annoying. If you ask a question about doing something dangerous with a pet, most pet lovers are going to ask you not to do it. Keeping your cat in a safe indoor environment is not the same as locking a child in a tower.

People have their own opinions and they will often differ from your own. Unfortunately when you post a question in a place like this you open yourself up to criticism. Sometimes, you have to sift through the hateful remarks to find a genuinely good answer.

People often try to change the world through silly places. They need to realize Yahoo! Answers isn't the place. Tell them to volunteer for their cause, donate their extra money, and shut their mouth.

actually, yes i do. it ticks me off to no end when you sask a question and these people just jump in with stuff that totally has nothing at all to do with the question that was asked.

as far as putting the kitten out after the surgery, it would depend on what type of surgery it was, and the extent of it, it would be safest to ask the vet that did the surgery.

Yes, I too think it is annoying. I have, however, answered questions with stupid answers back just for the 2 points, but most of those were just stupid, off-the-wall questions anyway. In that case, I don't care if I give a bad answer, but for real questions, especially those that could be pretty emotional to the one who asked the question, dumb answers really annoy me!

There is currently a heated debate going on in the cats section about the problems that result from cats being outside. You got caught in the crossfire. For the record, what if I say (nicely) it is much safer and healthier for your cat to keep it indoors....and here's a smiley face too :o)

Yes, I always read through the prior postings to see if someone has made a best answer, or maybe add a comment if they have left something else I feel needs to be added.

So I have to spend time scrolling through a lot of bad or just stupid material.

Yeah I get annoyed by that too

As for your cat I would wait until the vet takes the stiches out and ask him if it is ok to put him outside while you are there.
