We live in a very rural area and sometimes get scorpions in the house. Our cats will find them at night and kill them. My husband finally saw one of our cats CHEWING on the scorpion until it was dead-- but we couldn't figure out how the cat was doing it without getting stung!
Any ideas or anyone else seen this or know about it??

They kill them before the scorpion can sting, they aren't immune. They're just lucky. They'll also pin the stinger down to keep the scorp from stinging.

I don't think they are protected from scorpion stings. There is no way a human can be protected and we are so much larger than cats.

I wonder if there will be any people here who have had a cat die from such a sting.
