Hi there...Craigslist (http://www.craigslist.org)is a great place to find a new home for a pet. It is free to list and use. On the main page locate your state/city and then under the Community section locate the Pets section to post. Please consider asking for a low fee (e.g. $15/30) rather than free, because there are some unsavoury individuals who troll the ads for a free animal to use for either research or much more terrible abusive means. Request that you would like to do a home visit a few months apart so that you know your kitty won't be given away for profit either by the adopting family.

Friends. There are plenty of cats. If you have extra give them to the SPCA and get the ones you have "fixed".

You can post fliers that you're giving away free cats and post them at your local market, Wal-mart, a church, college or school . You can also run a free ad in the Pennysaver or similiar. Let your friends know and have them tell their friends. Good luck!

http://www.freecycle.org look up your area, it's a email listing for things given away or things you might be wanting. I've seen a lot of pets adopted via this email listing as well. Just post "to a good home"

I have 2 cats that I was suckered into taking by friends. I love them both but it was a sneaky way for them to unload the little furballs.

After this, please have your cat spayed.
