Hi there...although you're only joking, what's very sad is that people in either Korea and China do eat cats AND dogs. The Koreans living in modernized cities such as Seoul (the capital of S. Korea) eat them believing that it can cure their arthritis yet they believe it's okay because the cats spread disease--really intelligent and stupid too. I think where there is a serious scarcity of food - like a famine - any animal that has not died by itself will be killed and eaten by the humans trying to survive. In the old old days of seige warfare, even human babies were killed and eaten - by their own mothers! There are stories that prisoners starved to death were burried minus a few fingers - they chewed on them in the agony of hunger. Life can be very brutal. Lets thank God that we live in better times and can afford to be Civilized and Humane. I'm not sure how I will behave and what I will refuse to eat when i am starving and there is absolutely nothing to be had but the mouse in the corner. My cat? I think tight now I can say, I would rather die.

Eating cats or dogs is a sign of a mentally disturbed mind. Eating wild animals in suburban and in the cities will guarrantee that you will get worms or a number of other bacterias.
If you are eating these animals, you're proably one of cheapest bastards ever. Can't you afford fast food, or buying your meat at the market. If you are from a culture that does this, wake up, stupid, you're not in that same culture if you are in the United States. You don't bring a culture with you. If you want to follow your culture go "HOME'.

In some countries, eating cat and dog and monkey and etc. is a form of resource, and tradition.
It's not a joke over there, here it is, because we consider them as pets, but in the poorer climates, ya gotta do what ya gotta do to survive.

I agree with op2mystique, it depend on the culture and you can't make fun of someone else's culture that's racist if some people eat snakes and diffrent things
