She is about a year old and just recently started crying all of the time. She also is always trying to get outside (she is an indoor kitty). We are not sure if she's fixed, though we took her to two different vets and spoke with the humane society about it. They said they couldn't tell, as she has a very small scar but it's not definitive. The only heat symptom she displays is the whinning, but she's been like that since we got her, just not this bad. Could it be that she's just ancy because it's summer time? Please help; it's starting to drive me nuts.

I have a litter box and I have spent all the money possible on my cat because I dont have kids yet...So It was affordable...Anyways I would neuter him but the thing is is I think it may be a bit selfish because if I kept my bedroom door closed then he only sprays in his litter box.I know getting him neutered is probably the best solution but isnt it the most selfish as well?

I am just mad and don't mean it, but maybe a person who murders your pet in a microwave should know what it feels like! A neighbor kid killed our cat but there's no proof and not sure if the kid can be arrested. He's 16.

My sister wants to work with cats and only cats. So she doesn't want to work with other animals. So I am asking whether there are any careers where you only work with cats and take care of them?

One of my cats was at the vet for two days. Since she has returned, one of my other cats that really got along with her before the vet visit (sleep next to each other, lick her, etc) seems to hate her now.

He will hiss and growl any time he is near her. Why is he doing this? Will things go back to normal?

My cat (his name is Alex) is 7 years old and has been neutured for a while. I also have a female cat(Alexis). Alexis isn't fixed.

Well, they still have...intercourse.Alexis has never gotten pregnant though. My mom doesn't believe me, but I have seen it multiple times(my eyes! they burn!! lol). If he still has his...thing....is that normal? I know I sound really stupid but I want to prove my mom wrong. lol. please help =]

I have a male neutered cat that is about 2 years old. We had him neutered at the appropriate age (I believe he was 6 months old). He has been acting a bit odd lately in that, and I am NOT trying to be fresh or perverted etc, he is starting to ummmm rub himself when he is in a lovey mood. Is this normal? I have been around cats all of my life and have had at least one all the time. He is an indoor cat. We have a spayed female cat that we adopted from Purfect Pals and she has also been fixed. She is outdoors. When she comes in from outdoors, the male cat will NOT leave her alone.

To add to my confusion, he has been walking the house and wailing lately. He has also been cleaning himself a lot.

I guess my fear is that even though we paid to have him neutered, he may in fact still be a full functioning cat.

Again, I am NOT trying to be fresh or offend anybody. This is an honest question at 1230 AM about my concern re my wailing cat. Thank you for honest and helpful answers.

I have had it with this cat!...I love him dearly, but he keeps "spraying" everything!...Mostly my curtains.....the ones that high up...he is climbing the shelves to get to them....I have taken them all down & washed them all...I have put Lysol on them....I have used almost every trick I have heard to do...I am looking for more suggestions.....
There is another male cat here...is only 7 mo's old.....& a "fixed" female cat....They are in/out cats.....but everytime this one comes in....he feels he has to spray something....so I put him back out...if I leave him in...he will walk around the house & spray anything he sees....he has even sprayed my daughter's foot one day...I am sooo frustrated...I cant get rid of him...he belongs to my cousin....(who also lives in the house)...but the house is beginning to smell like CAT!.....UGH!....HELP!...

The kittens are just over three weeks old and are walking around now (a little shaky but they're cruisin!) However the Mom kitty doesn't like it when they venture out. She is starting to take them from the bed that they have been in all this time and put all 5 of them in places like behind the TV, behind the bedroom door, under the computer desk and even in my boyfriends guitar case! It's getting ridiculous she won't let them leave her side. How can I stop this??

She eats 1 cup of Iams weight control dry food a day. She is 9 years old and is a fatso! Everyone makes fun of her sweet self and the vet thinks I should try to get her to be more active but she only looks at you when you try to dangle a toy in front of her. She will bat at it only if it is right in front of her. He also suggested a plan with some real high fiber food but it was really expensive and included giving her an appetite enhancer so she would eat it and then weaning her off of the appetite enhancer but the plan would be that she would then be used to the extremely low calorie/high fiber food. Has anyone tried this? thank you .

I have a very cute petite solid black female cat her hair is very shiny..., she is almost a year old. Her hair looks like a true brown when she is laying in the sunlight. But when she is in the house her hair looks black! When she is in the sun the brown is so pretty its like a dark chocolate. So is she black or brown? she sorta resembles a burmese. I tell everyone she is my little panther.
