Cats - June 2006

my cat is about 7 years old and recently her hair has been just clumping up and falling out in big lots. I whiching her food over from regular stuff to food made for older cats after this started happening. anyone else know what to do?

actualy i brought home a cat and her three kittens
they were stray
but as they started bringing daily a mouse from outside
my mom and dad not allowed to keep them anymore
i agreed and i leave them at a place far away
they were so sweet
what i have done it's right or wrong?
even my house is small 1BHK.
my mom was afraid if there would be some infection to us due to mouse she used to bring.
but..they were so sweet.
i don't know where are they today.
help me what would you have done in such case?
I live in india. people are not that much crazy for pets here.

She was quite sick but she recovered. At first we thought she was too weak but now she eats quite well and regained power but she is still dizzy and has problems with jumping and climbing. The doctor doesn't want to give us an answer. Please answer me if you can. Thank you.

i found a kitty and i took it in, it seems to be settling in well but it keeps hissing at my dogs. And i feel bad cause the cat stays in only my room while i give it all the attention my poor doggies who always were allowed to roam everywhere now dont enter my room. How can i make them get along?

These are Jojo, Voichita and Sergiu
The first and second cats from the image (Jojo and Voichita) still need a home. Of course, you can also take them both. These are the last ones, and I'd be glad to offer them to a caring owner. They may scratch a bit at first. Note that Voichita doesn't like water AT ALL! Though, she is very playful ..

I was thinking maybe turn on my humidifier and put vapor rub or give her eucalyptus. She must be like 6 or 8 wks old. I dont have money to take her to the vet! Ive been given her alot of liquids and shes been eating and playing she seems fine in everything else. What do I do?!

I want to get a kitten and persian kittens appealed to me the most because of its unique beautiful looks and real good personalities...i just don't know if i should get one. the other kittens i have seen are too cute but as it grows up, it wouldnt be as cute. im not mean. i dont get kittens by looks. but i feel persian kittens have both...looks and personality. is it a good idea? or is there something in persian kittens that i should be concerned about?

I have to relocate from LA to NY and take my 2 cats. Both are 1 year and 10 months old, 1 is 12 lbs and another is 8. I checked all airlines with the directly service from LA to NY but all say I need 1 more person to take them to the cabin with me. So, I asked my friend to come with me but 1 more problem. They require the smallest kennel and the pet must be able to stand up in that small (about 9'' H) kennel. Unless that they can't accept. I asked about the check-in pet, they say in this season, they don't accept from the beginning or if the temperature is higher than 85F, they don't. I would like to ask you if there's anybody who knows :
1. they check the kennel and the pet inside at the check in and refuse to take them in the cabin?
2. any other better\best way to transport them to NY?
3. a really nice pet transportation professional company?

I'm really in trouble now...Please someone help me and my cats...

Whenever my kitten sees me eating she climbs on my shoulder and wants to eat whatever I'm eating. I let her taste my chicken noodle soup today and she loved it. Tonight she wanted some spaghetti. I don't mind giving her some food, I just don't want to harm her or start unhealthy habits.
