NO!!!!

Yes, it would be too stressful.

Aside from that it would be pointless, since an indoor cat isn't being exposed to any diseases.

Unnecessary vaccinations also introduce the risks of adverse reactions, which a 19 year old cat might be too frail to withstand. Not least among these is Vaccine-Associated Sarcoma (VAS), cancers with a rather low survival rate made even lower in cats who are too old and presumably too frail to handle very aggressive major surgery.

NO Duration of immunity on the vaccines is many, many years. Look at the Univ of Illinois website and then do some research on the net. Recommendation for vaccines have changed. Vets for the most part haven't kept up.

Call the vet, I believe that it should be vaccinated, distemper and shots needed for an indoor cat. Cats don't have to be outside to catch these diseases, it is airborne. If kitty catches these diseases, then it may die. Call the vet first has the cat ever had shots before? if not, maybe you e OK, depending where you live, kitty's own immune system may be good enough. Good Luck.

Distemper vaccine is optional and if it was my cat I wouldn't do it!!! Rabies is pequired by law, BUT you can get your vet to give you a document that states he feels the cats should not be vaccinated due to advanced age or other health reason.

defnitely too stressful. if your cat stays indoors, then you shouldn't have to worry about vaccines so much.
