Maine Coon. the perfect cat for people who like dogs. I had 4, the largest of which weighed 19lbs (he wasn't fat) and measured 4feet 6inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. I used to love coming home to him, he used to put his paw in my hand and stretch his toes so that they covered my entire palm before putting his nose to mine and drinking me in. Damn, I miss him.

The biggest domestic cat you can get is a Maine Coon. Some of the Maine Coon males can get up to 30 pounds and be at a healthy weight (not overweight). They act just like dogs and are very affectionate. They greet you at the door when you come home and are always around you.
The second biggest domestic cat is the Norwegian Forest Cat.

It really is hard to tell, sometimes it just depends on the specific breed of cats involved in the mating. I had a main Coon that at it's shoulder height was 18 inches. He was a very large and sweet beautiful gentle cat, of corse when it came to dogs or other cats attacting him, he really kicked ***. When I finally grew up and got him netuered and kept him indoors, he was so happy, no fights, no illnesses, just out large sweet big eyed baby. ( a Main Coon is a breed of nealy every cat, the name was because they were brought in on the ships from other countries into the state of maine). I now have a very sweet extremely large white and black cat, very muscular, and looks like the wild large cats, lions, mountian lions, etc. when he walks. He has nothing but muscle stride. I also have another maine Coon, the boy I am telling you about is larger. Very heavy and sweet and not fat!!!!! Maine Coons have no specific look, they can be multi colored or even black and white, always with long hair and tail resembeling the shape or look of a raccoon. I also had a very large tabby, really, you can't guess nor know what is the largest domestigated cat you can get it depends on the genes. I luve em!!!

The largest domestic cat breeds are the Maine Coone, and the Norweigan Forest Cat. The Ragdoll is nowhere near the size of these two giants.

Otherwise a Fat Ferrel / Domestic cross if you can get one.
Try Cat Protection Society. They have all sorts of fat cats.

the biggest breed of cat is the maine coon, however i have heard of a very large cat when a maine coon and a norwegian forest cat mated. this particular animal weighed nearly 32 pounds. fancy having that sat on your knee!

Maine Coon or Ragdoll. From what I've read so far, the Maine Coon seems to win out...but my 4 month old Ragdoll is now the size of a year old kitty.
