Have you handled her kittens? If so, that is why she's hidding them from you guys. My Siamese had kittens over 2 months ago and I made sure I kept them where she gave birth, my closet. I moved all my shoes and made a bed for them there. Give her that space and she'll keep them there. Make sure you close the door to that room but leave it cracked so that she can get in and out. Also place a bowl of food, water and kitty litter box nearby her so that she won't have to travel far. Eventually she'll stop hiding but watching them. I thought it was kind of cool I didn't have to hire a babysitter because she's there to watch out for them while I'm at work. ;D

They are only three weeks of course she doesn't want them to go off on their own. Soon enough she will be running away from them wishing they would go off by themselves lol.
In the meantime look for what is bothering her, seems like something has her unsettled. Try changing what you were using as a bed. Most animals don't like to keep sleeping in the same old dirty place for too long. And you need to keep the kittens contained to an area that is toddler proof they may decide to chew on an electric cord or slide down behind something and get stuck.
And in the end your not going to stop her unless your a cat whisperer. Just go with the flow it won't last much longer.

just leave her to get on with things her own way! cats are very clever really, they wont put the kittens in any danger.
theres probably quite a few reasons as to why she keeps moving her babies, if more people than there usually is in the house keep looking at them, she'll probably get abit worried so off she goes again, moving them away from the places that people know about! females also keep moving the kittens about once they start trying to walk because it offers the kitten a kind of 'safe house' so the more places she shows them, the less chance of anything happening to them cos if theres anything to worry the kittens they will run to one of the spots that she has put them.
the only reason i know this is because my cat had a kitten (yep, just the 1!!) 8 weeks ago, and she done the same as ur cat is doing! she gave birth on my 7year old daughters bed, while my daughter was asleep in it! i tried keeping the kids away from her (& 2 big dogs and a cat!!) by moving the kitten into my room, but within minutes she took it in the kids bedroom, and into a set of drawers-full view of the kids, and my other cat (which is really the kittens grandma!) jumped in to clean the kitten while the mum fed it!!! very strange! its just nature! dont worry!!

Well she is being a great mom...she is trying to protect them! She doesn't like them going over all the place because its hard for her to keep them in one spot. lol. Most mom cats will move her babies once or twice. So if she moves them to an okay spot then let her keep them there. If its not then you may have to show her a good place that is suitable. Take all her babies and set them where you want them to be and see if she will leave them there. But make sure its like in a closet or under then stairs, maybe even a box under your bed. Put lots of old sheets or something soft that they can lay on and put a litter box small enought for the babies not big enough for her to get it, so that she can teach them to use it! Hope this helps.

You can't stop this, it's her motherly instinct to protect her kittens.
I have 8 kittens, 2 mama cats, I know. I have had over 100 cats in my time, since I was 10,maybe more, I've lost count, lolll..
One thing that has worked for me, is to, "baby sit" her kittens. Complement her on how good a mama kitty she is, what a good job she's doing.
Even though she can't exactly answer you, she understands your tone of voice. She knows when she's doing something good, or bad.
Pet her lightly when she's with her kittens, feeding them, (if she'll let you). Play with the kittens when she is around so she'll see you're safe and won't bring any harm to her babies. Don't over handle the kittens and read her body language, she'll let you know when enough is enough.Pet her too, let her feel your affection. Believe me, she knows, and will let you into her, "world". loll
I know there are some animals, dogs, cats, etc.that won't let you near their babies. Don't force them, in time they will,( most of the time anyway, all animals are different the same as people).
Give your kitty extra attention, a good belly rub if she likes this, her favourite spots, her ears, etc.
Lot's of verbal praise along with this.
Please, let me know how things work out. I love cats, I'm a cat nut.. I think you can email me in here. It's my user name, yahoo..

She is just trying to bond with them...she wants them to herself and does like not people handling the kittens so she is putting them where is feels she is the only one to get to them...usually a good place for the mom and her babies is in a box big enough for her and them or a towel for all to fit on and in a corner or a closet etc. Let her be till she is done bonding or she will not have anything to do with her babies and she will not feed or take care of them...three weeks old really should not be held yet anyways...seriously if you pick them up and keep holding them etc. she will reject them and not care for them anymore...you don't want her to do that...let them be and when they are old enough she will let them out of her sight and will let them wonder around away from her...just give mama the bonding time she needs....you will see how it time she does with them...good luck with your new family...

u could always lock up momma kitty in ur bedroom or someplace and allow the kittens to roam for an hour or so ... u dont really want them roaming all the time or they wont learn to use the litter and will then take care of business behind ur tv or wherever ... after all they still need their momma for a while longer .. good luck, enjoy ur kittens!!!

she is just trying to protect them, when they get older she will start to let them free range. but till then she isn't going to want them getting too far from her, and she is taking them odd places becouse she dosn't want them to be stuck in a little bed, they need experiance if she wants them to know the area they live, and to be smart when they grow up... kinda like field trips, remember those? it was the most adventure some people ever got out of their little house. The teachers would never let the kids go too far, and yet they would put the kids in odd places, like stages, fire departments, caves, ETC

Mom always knows best. If you want it to stop I'd suggest you make there bed so mom can come and go but Babbie's can't. The mother cat will know when they can be out cruising.Soon she'll want a break from them but it's best she decides when that' is.
