My sister wants to work with cats and only cats. So she doesn't want to work with other animals. So I am asking whether there are any careers where you only work with cats and take care of them?

One of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had is what I am doing now. Resuing cats and finding them homes. I have many fellow rescuers that help me out and the adopters usually will donate time or money to my rescue.
And you get to spend lots of time with kittens which is a big plus for me cause they are so cute at that age. Also Rescue is so needed because otherwise alot of cats will die but with your help you can save LIVES!
Just do like me and specialize in rescuing cats.

Cat hospital, vet, shelter, grooming salon. Another idea is to do some kind of cattery. Take care of cats while owners are away in-house or some cattery place. Some countries use cats as working animals like sniffer dogs in customs.
Ask and get some ideas from cat clubs.
(Interesting choice of career. There's a thought for me...)

If she has the room to do so (big garden) or can rent/buy a suitable place she could open a cat home and take in strays, abandoned and unwanted kittens for re-homing (v. expensive and you get a lot of hassle from the public) or she could set up a cattery where people bring their cats when they [humans] are going on holiday or into hospital or something. Make sure they pay up front tho' people have a habit of leaving a cat and not coming back!

I saw a cats only vet hospital in Elmsford, NY. Ur sister might look 4 something similar in ur own town. She might look into some "catteries" or pet rescue places where she'd ask 2 work w/ cats.
Ur sister might study to become a vet for cats only. Call or e-mail the above cat hospital for suggestions.
I hope this helps.

Cat care clinics. we have them all over IN. You must have education, though. Vet or vet tech or some knowledge of cat care. Also you may work in a pet store, animal rescue, pet foster care (cats). You can specialise in any animal you wish, you just have to be qualified. A good beginning is to do some volunteer work. Maybe for a shelter, or the ASPCA, or Peta. Good Luck

She can become a veterinarian and treat only cats. There are some vets that treat only cats - I have heard of them in California, but where ever you live she could try the cats only vet and see how it works. I myself would like a cats only vet because I don't really like dogs and neither do my cats and when I go to the vet it stresses my cats out to see and and hear the dogs barking. I would also like to go to a woman veterinarian. I think woman are more aware of details and more compassionate.

There is such a thing as a cat behavioralist. They understand the ins and outs of cats behavior and work as a consultant and alot of times they can figure out why a cat has a problem such as going outside the litter box, etc.. after all possible medical problems have been eliminated. They are like cat psycholgist.

There are loads of jobs she could do working with cats.
She could apply to a cattery where people take there cats when they go away on holiday.
Or even foster cats this is voluntary work but very rewarding.
Look on the Internet at working with cats.
Good luck

There are at least two cat only vets in my town. One of them is a cat hospital. She should be able to get a job working in a place like that. She could be a vet or a vet assistant, receptionist, groomer etc..
