My friend's 13 year old female cat has very small crystals. Clavamox has not been helpful and the vet doesn't think the cat will make it through the anaesthetic for surgery. She has been to several vet clinics who all say the same thing. Has anyone tried alternative treatment for this?

We have moved into a house that seems to be infested with cats. I need to get the smell out of the barn and I need a humane way to keep them away from the property.

The process using clippers and the animal's fur isn't completely shaven off, just shortened so that he doesn't get so hot in the summertime.

I am looking for holistic or any answers other than insulin injections (which do not cure or cover symptoms and cat dies usually within a year or two even with the injections)...and am currently on a Glucose support powder, wet food only regimen with my little cat. Any input welcome. He is doing OK but cant seem to regain his weight and is still very hungry - his fur looks great, as do his lively bright eyes and attitude though!

I've looked at the previous answers on this topic, and I'm not sure there's anything that can help. The last time I moved one of my cats, I had the vet give him an oral sedative, put him in the carrier, and he still cried and howled nonstop for the entire 20-hour trip. I've now adopted a second cat who hates travel just as much and also defecates the second he is put into a kitty carrier; needless to say, this makes any trip exceedingly unpleasant, especially in the summer. I would also be driving a rental car, and sometimes they don't allow animals in their vehicles. I have considered air travel as an alternative, but 1) news stories about airline negligence causing pet deaths in baggage holds have me worried and 2) I read in a previous answer that the fee per cat would be $250, and I simply don't have an extra $500 to spare; I'll be lucky if I can pay for this trip (from Minneapolis to Boston) at all. Are there any other options that might be more effective? I'm at a loss.

If you have gotten an animal stuffed, where do you do something like that and how much does it cost? I don't want to bury my cat when she dies. If anyone could reccomend someone it columbus, ohio that would be nice.

my cat is so friendly and niave because of it's indoor life. It got too close to a neighbor dog and it bit her tail. It got infected, so some of the tail will have to be amputated. (Signs didn't show until too late). but O.T.T, she's fine.
My daughter brought her outside, so that's why she ended up out. Should i start supervising outdoor time for the cat or what's the best thing 4 her?

Well my cat has been very weak and listless for these past few days. Also he has been drinking a lot of water, and not eating so much food, couple this with a rasping cough he seems to have to have developed, from what I can ascertain is that he has lung worm.I was just wondering if anyone out there knows if you can buy lungworm medicine for him until I can get him to see the vet?
