It's still alive as I managed to get it away from my cat but it doesn't seem to be able to fly and looks as though it's wing is broken. There doesn't appear to be any open wounds. I've put it in a box and shut him in a quiet room but I don't know what to do next. Can I contact someone? Is there anything else I can do?

I work outside at a refinery. My idiot co-worker took a baby seagull and tried to move it to another area of my facility in hopes of getting the rest to stop attacking people on my unit. Unfortunately it made them all mad and now they attack anyone that gets with in 50 yards of their territory. I dont like birds. How do I keep them from attacking me when Im simply walking around?

My friend and I found a baby robin. We didn't touch it but got it in an old guinea pig cage. We just need it to stay in the cage outside for tonight because Nature's Nursry is closed for the day. We'll call in the morning. I need to know what I can substitute for worms and bugs that the robin can eat. It's bigger than a golf ball but smaller than a tennis ball. It can't fly.

one of my budgies loves exploring my hand. she just climbs around my thumb and pecks/gently bites at my fingers, fingernails and palm. sometimes she flaps her wings when she's on my hand. does this mean she wants me to get out or she is just exploring because she;'s very young. Its not that she is aggressive but she sits on my hand for hours moving around and as I move my hand, she moves with it. just want ya to get a clear picture. thanks.

I have Albino budgie, how can one tell what sex it is. So far it displays characteristics of female. The cere is almost colourless and legs are pink. So far I am going on behaviour which leads me to believe it is a female.

I am interested in birds and find them to be quite fun.

Since I don't have time because of my work hours, I was wondering would budgies be a good choice for a person who doesn't have time to put too much care into them other than spend a minute or two feeding them everyday?

We have a pair of cockatiels and I was wondering if the egg is no good, do they stop laying on them after a while or do they just keep sitting on them is we don't take them out?
We aren't sure if the eggs are any good anymore and was wondering if they stop on their own or if we don't take them out, if they keep laying until we take them out....

When is the 1st molt?? My bird hasn't really lost any feathers but one tail feather i believe got broken off and one grew in a different spot so I don't think he's molting hes too young. Is it possible to tell gender before the 1st molt? My tiel has (or had) 2 striped feathers til one popped out and the rest were solid. Ive seen so very light striping on the edge of the feathers next to the fully striped and some light stripes around the legs. Is this male or female? (remember NO MOLT YET)

I just bought this Cockateil from this lady for only $35 but when I brought her home I noticed that she has alot of bald spots and when she stretched out her wings it looks like she has bald spots underneath the wings as well with wounds and some blood!! I dont know what this poor bird has been through or if she has a disease but i sure hope she is ok. She looks happy but is missing alot of her body feathers. Well anyways the lady that gave her to me also gave a container with sand and told me that it's for her to eat. I grew up with my grandparents that bred these beautiful birds and they never gave them sand. Are Cockateils supposed to eat sand? Do you think this could make her sick?
