Do you think my dogs are pampered. They have a ton of room when there outside for the bathroom .They live inside. They have food that cost $35.86. ( or it was today!!!) I don't think it's expensive. They get presents and everything. They have their OWN rooms. a bed, couch, and pillows (2 or 3 each) They are Affenpinscher and Rottweiler. Do you think they are pampered and a little bit spoiled. THey even have a wardrobe of chlothes

I have had him for awhile and he has made the trip home from college a few times and he always did well. All the other fish are not acting different except for him. He is always at the top of the tank (like they should be), but now he's on the bottom. He's really black, which is the color he usually turns when he is hungry, but he won't eat. He really has never sat on the bottom of the tank. Also it seems like some of his back tail is missing??? He has been in the tank with the same fish for awhile and nothing bad has happened. If you want a list of the fish in the tank just ask. I'm really concerned, because he is acting completely abnormal.... Here are 2 pictures of what he used to look like.

Hi.
Um its carmella again..and as of right now my iguana is in a glass tank with a screen top..but i was wondering if it can move into a wired (non sharp eged) cage.?
thanks.
and its not like chicken wire..it thicker and if the iguana decided to climb on it it wouldnt cut its toes..I was just wondering if this would be okay..and also heat wouldnt be an issue.
thanks again.

A few centuries ago, purebreds didn't exist as we know them today but were more or less a type, depending on how isolated they were and how much the owners attempted to isolate them.

Today it's nearly impossible to get outside blood into a purebred genepool, even if it's for very good reasons and very carefully regulated.

One of the best examples of what I'm referring to is the Backcross Project. This incorporated Pointer blood into Dalmatians to eliminate some health problems in the Dalmatians. The Dalmatians were bred enough that the Pointer blood was very minimal. By the time this project concluded, AKC had decided not to register the offspring.

Do you think it's healthy for purebreds to get well-researched, documented, "fresh blood" every once in a while or does it ruin purebred dogs?

If a cat is locked in a basement room by itself, with nothing but a litterbox, a bed and food & water, never having interaction with anyone, will it die sooner? Is it better to have it put to sleep in this situation, when you know that no one else wants the cat? Or should it just be let outside?

Hi,
My dog has a really bloated, distended stomach, yet displays none of the other signs of bloat.
He hasn't been trying to throw up, restless, anxious, hunched up, panting, drinking too much, and he's not in pain at all, even if I gently press his stomach. Also, his stomach is making the normal gurgling noises.

But it's very noticeable, and although he's burping quite a lot, he can't seem to get rid of the gas.

Can anyone help or offer any advice?

Thanks a lot.

Is it harmful to her if I let her lick her paws? She doesn't like stuff on her paws and she does it CONSTANTLY. I try to get her to quit, but I think it's just a fetish she has. Would it really bother her if I just let her lick her feet?

It is a 10 gal- aquarium, filled 1/3 with water and 1 inch of pebbles. It has a small filter and a small basking ledge ( that the turtle is too big for). HE is still able to poke his head above water. But is very noisy. He crawls under water, under the floating basking ledge and gets "stuck", he always can free himself, but thrashes violently. He even moves the filter around.

By the way. This isn't my turtle. It belongs to a classroom at my work and I am taking care of it for a colleague . I bought the tank, rocks, filter and everything. I took it home in a 1 gal. critter keeper. Please be nice. Don't say I am being cruel to turtles or have bad grammar.

Well, I'm going to the vet next week to get her ears flushed, we already made the apointment. What I was wondering is if there's anything I can do to give her some "temporary" relief now? I don't think I should use a qtip, cause that would just push the wax in deeper wouldn't it? Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks so much! :) She is a lab and she's almost 7 years old. Thank you. ((My boyfriend's dog, this is kind of new to me)).
