Try checking out the yorkies at the library or the net. Then check it out with your parents give them some facts and see how they like the dog.If they are interested in small things then why not tell them the size or the behaviour.Or you can try this other site that has a poll that decides other cute and small dogs you might also like.If you decide to choose another dog then click on the picture of the dog and you can find the history and the information you need about the dog like:the size, the weight of the female and male and other stuff. First you try the test then jot down the dogs that you like then let your parents do the test and jot down THEIR fav dogs. After come to a solution with your parents you might come up with a better dog than a yorkie.
GOOD LUCK!

They are a gorgeous dog, but they won't always sit sedately on your lap. These dogs like to go, go go! Puppies are so much work. Not trying to lecture you here, I've had dogs all my life and it is STILL a shock when we get a new puppy. They pee and poo everywhere, they bark, bite, destroy things, get you up in the night. They are gorgeous, but hard work. Would you think about rescuing one? A dog 1-2 years old is still very "puppy like" but you'll be past a lot of the difficult behaviour.
One other thing to consider (and I've learned this the hard way) - have a look where you'll be in 10 years time. Your dog may live 15 years and will you be able to look after the dog that far into the future? Are you going to college? Might you get married? It is quite likely your parents may end up with the dog at some point, so they have to like it too.
As for convincing your parents. Well. I know you want the dog now, but you need to think of this as a 3 month or 6 month plan. Start helping out around the house. Get dog books and read up on dogs, do some research on the Internet. Even better, give a little bit of time at the local shelter. Show your parents you are grown up and can handle the responsibility. When they think you are the model daughter ;) then start talking to them about getting a dog, and show them you know a lot about dogs, and about the Yorkie breed. Much harder for them to argue with than "Moooooooooom! I want a dog!!!".
Good luck!

Do some research. Present your case to your parents.
They're VERY cute, but also VERY active and need lots of exercise. They are frequently VERY yappy also. Check out your local animal shelter, the Yorkie Rescue society, etc. Spend some time volunteering one of those places and see how you feel about Yorkies and getting some experience with them or dogs in general. Are you really ready and willing to make a commitment to an animal?

Ask them and see what they would require you to do to get it. They may want you to raise some money to help out or show responsibility in one way or another. You could dog sit/walk for people living near you as a start.

Is toilet paper a biodegradeable food substance? Does it contain proteins, fats, carbohydrates? Then of course not!! Stop giving in to your dog's neurotic behavior, TEACH the thing already, and lock the bathroom door when you are using the facilities.
