There are 3 types of biters; Fear, Aggression and Herding breeds.

Fear biters tend to attack when backed into a corner, or they stand and watch you, usually but not always growling to warn you, waiting until you turn your back to them and come up at you from behind. They generally bite below the waist.

Aggressive dogs are those that go for the face, they generally bite anywhere above the waist. These dogs consider direct eye contact as a definate challenge and act accorfingly.

Herding dogs get tagged as biters many times when they really are just doing their jobs. They tend to be ankle biters/nippers.

My husband was sick two weeks ago, then I got sick Sunday, now one of my son's is sick.
Our min. schnauzer whom we have had now for 3 months,(4yrs old) vomitted yesterday right after my son did, and now he is pooping in the house late at night, even though we take him out at midnight or later.
He shows no signs of being sick, other than the one time vomitting, but the pooping in the house!
He hasn't done this before and now all of a sudden the past 3 nights he has been.

I think that there is a correlation between dogs trained for fighting, and attacks on humans or other animals. Dogs used for fighting are desensitized to attacking and harming other animals, including weaker humans. Once they get that taste of blood they want more.

What are your thoughts on this subject?
