its to do with genetics its granparents or great-granparents could have been pure tan , somewhere along the line some or one of his ancestors were pure tan.

Probably cause the parents weren't really purebred. They might have looked like JRT.. but somewhere along the line, there was something else in there. If you were told that the dog is purebred, then you were lied to.

It sounds like the parents aren't both completely purebred. Are you 100% sure on their history? It sounds to me like bloodlines were messed up somewhere along the line.

its no big deal a lot of pups are different from their parent and you might find his coat change as he or she gets older. did you get the certificate for pedigree when you got the pup because its also quite common for people to lie for a sale

Unfortunately who ever sold you this pup, definitely sold you a 'pup'Jack Russell's aren't a registered breed and no amount of papers are going to change this.
It's common enough for dogs to change their coat as they get older so you'll soon see a change especially as we come into the warmer months and the dog begins to shed.
Jack's are lovely dogs and brilliant guard dogs so you've got yourself a little treasure there.

this can just happen as he gets older his colours may change and he will have the pur colours i have two dog a husky and a rottwiller and that happend to me
