My husband was sick two weeks ago, then I got sick Sunday, now one of my son's is sick.
Our min. schnauzer whom we have had now for 3 months,(4yrs old) vomitted yesterday right after my son did, and now he is pooping in the house late at night, even though we take him out at midnight or later.
He shows no signs of being sick, other than the one time vomitting, but the pooping in the house!
He hasn't done this before and now all of a sudden the past 3 nights he has been.

Dogs will feeling what have we feeling, when we sad, mad, cry, it's know our conditions. so, its not possible if we were sick, a dog get sick.. A dog can feeling what have we felt.

I really don't know much about dogs, but I do know that I have a cat that does get sick (out of the 4 that I have - He is the only one that does) when someone in the house is sick. So illness (especially upper respiratory infections - colds, etc) will transfer to a cat. Usually I will get sick and about 2 weeks later Twinkie-Dink will get sick also and load him to the vet and he's given that awful pink stuff they give to babies.
So I guess I would depend on what the illness is....I would believe that dogs as well as cats can catch a cold.

No, most viruses are species specific. Some can go from dogs to humans such
as rabies, ringworm (a fungus), some parasites (roundworms and hookworms,
but only to children or immunocompromised adults), and some tick borne
diseases can affect both as well, like Lyme Disease, Erhichia, etc. Strep
(as in Strep throat can also be transmitted by humans and pets).

no. most human viruses are species-specific and cannot be transmitted to a household pet. our bodies are different enough from a dog or cat that the cold & flu viruses can't do damage to both kinds. one of the few exceptions to this rule is ferrets - they CAN catch the flu form humans, but otherwise, your dog is safe from you.

he may have eaten something that didn't agree (like human food which is too high in fat & other bad things so his stomach isn't adjusting well), he may have a condition that is starting to show itself for the first time (like pancreatitis), he may have picked something up from another animal (going for walks or another animal getting in his yard and contaminating it is all it takes to be exposed to some very nasty parasites, viruses and bacteria).

i'd take a fresh stool sample in to the vet and make an appt for him to be checked. this isn't normal for him and the sooner you catch a health problem, the easier it is to fix. if starts vomiting again or if anything else gets worse, i wouldn't wait for your own vet...i'd look for an emergency one.

I think animals can catch a variation of our illnesses. When animals get sick we can't feel their foreheads and give them Tylenol. They can't tell us what they are feeling other than what he is showing you.
It never fails right here at the holidays when it's gonna be bear getting him into the vets he gets sick, huh.... I do believe you at least need to call the vet and let them know his symptoms, they would know better what to tell you about his prognosis.
