My family wants to get a dog but we don't know what we need to do besides feed it!

We just found out today that my 9 year old cat is a diabetic and he has less than 1 month to live! My family needs to raise 1000 dollars to save him with medication and shots...what do I do...my father already has 4 jobs and my ma is looking for a 2nd but we still don't have enough money! Please HELP!!!!

i work in a veterinary hospital, and just lost a cat to cytauxzoonosis. this is our fifth case thus far, and only one survivor. i urge all of my cat loving friends to look up info. on this disease and get educated because it is by far the most HORRIBLE gut-wrenching death for any creature to endure, and it can be PREVENTED. my heart is still sad for little harry who died in my arms on friday morning. im sad for his owner who had no idea the danger her cat was in just by letting him outside........basically, its a blood parasite that lives in the blood stream of the bobcat. the bobcat is unaffected. when a tick bites the bobcat, it ingests the parasite. if the infected tick bites a domesticated cat, it rapidly becomes very ill. the parasite lives in the blood stream for about 20 days before symptoms appear. after the onset of symptoms, the cat is usually dead within 48 to 72 hours. the death rate is 99%.
look up cytauxzoonosis and see if your pet is at risk. have a good day all.

My sister has a regular 25 cent common goldfish. She wants to add it to our outside pond (I think the pond is 400 gallons). I tested the water and all is perfect. The pond has a filter, light, lily pads, rocks and hiding space, and a small waterfall. The only thing is that the pond has algae. Of course we can treat the pond for this though.

So is it ok to add the fish? What I was thinking was we put the goldfish in a bag like the pet store, float it in the pond, etc.

We will probably get a few more goldfish to go with this one.

Also, do we feed him his regular goldfish flake food? Or the special pond fish food? We own both.

ive had a few plants in my aquarium with what i thought was sufficient light but they usually slowly die...what am i doing wrong...at the moment its a tank with cycled water, fish, and lights. mostly im wondering what the Co2 is for.

About a year ago we had to dog steps for our dog who just turned 14 years old. It was getting difficult for him to get into the car and on the couch. he's a good sized dog and when he was younger he could jump straight up and land with all 4 feet on the dinng room table. about 30 inches(.75m). he uses them, but you can tell he'd rather not.

My neighbor is trying to sue us because out chow dog bit her inside our home. I held the dog back and she only suffered a superifical wound. No blood, she is now threating to put a lein on everything we own if we get the chow back after the 10 days observation at the animal shelter. The dog is always behind a fenced yard and for some reason has always hated this woman. She is black we are white, and she stated my dad has trained the dog to hate black people, which is not true.The chow dog had always had a hatred for black people, dont know why? I know this sounds crazy but it is true. Please advise me does she have a chance of winning if she sues us. We have offered to pay for her tetanus and doctor bill. But like I said the wound was minor. She has turned this into a racial thing, and we have always been friends since she moved in. My dad is prejudicious but me and my mom are not. We cant control my dad he wants the dog back but me and my mom do not. Does she have a good case?

my cat had 4 kittens but they have fleas i was wondering if i fed my cat brewers yeats in her food could the brewers yeast get into the kittens milk and get rid of fleas on the kittens or could that harm them ? the kittens are 4 DAY OLD okay :)

I have two sibling kittens that are about two months old. One is male and the other is female. I have a couple of problems with them.

The male, who is larger, is always jumping on and really biting the smaller female. Sometimes its even to the point where she yelps or cries... what is that? is it normal?

The male has this new problem with biting us. If I put my finger near him he will lick it uncontrollably, but lately also, he will just randomly bite. Is it normal? Can I stop it?

The kittens both kick litter EVERYWHERE! it is such a mess and it's drivng me nuts.

I walked in my room and she has gotten blood on my bed spread. I checked her out and finally figured out she had bit her tongue. Is there anything I can do to ease her pain till it heals? Would getting softer food help in the mean time or am I just worried for nothing?

I just changed the water for my betta fish and I was hoping it would make him happy. But, ever since I put him back in the bowl he's had his tail and gills flared as if he's ready to fight.
