My 16 month old female cat, Chloe, came down with what we thought was a cold, a week ago. Symptoms include fatigue, sneezing and watery eyes. I called the vet earlier in the week and they said to keep an eye on it and call if it got worse. Well, by week's end, she didn't look like she could shake it on her own, so I called the vet again. The vet came on Friday (mobile vet) and prescribed Clavamox tabets, and gave her the first one before she left. Since then she is more fatigued and has no energy, just laying under the bed, and is not interested in food or water. I tried wet food b/c I hear that smells more appealing to them, and she won't touch that either. She is just not herself. I called the on call vet this AM and they said to stop the medicine (which she hasn't had today anyway), and if she starts eating again, cut the dosage in 1/2, and if she still isn't eating, call them on Monday. But now, I'm getting worried that I should take her to the ER vet. WWYD?

My angelfish were liplocking for about 10 minutes, (must be a long time in the fish world)lol. Then they spun around. Then one of them looked like they were kissing the top of the other angelfish's head are the breeding or fighting. How do i change it and let them try to breed? How do I tell their gender I researched and tried everything in order to find information in how to tell the difference from a male and female angelfish but could not. Also, my water is told to be over crowded is it really/ I have 6 angels, 2 large ones and 3 medium ones. One died yesterday. :( I need help please. Thank you so very, very much.

My friend who is a veterinary nurse told me that a man brought in his dog as she was having problems giving birth and had to have a caesarian section. When he saw the dog he picked her up by the scruff of the neck and said how useless she was and she was going in the shed when he got her home. The vet told him she needed a lot of care and she needed to feed the pups and he had better keep her warm as she had just had a major operation. He gave the vet verbal abuse and said she was gong to be got rid of when the pups were old enough. All he could think about was how much the vet bill was. Do you think that vets should be able to confiscate animals by law if he thought there was animal abuse involved. What happened to the law that was passed regarding the care of animals. I have said that I would have the dog even though I have two myself.

Yesterday I found a stray cat and she is the sweetest thing ever. She's in need of attention, and I really want to keep her, but I'm going to wait a week to see if any lost posters come up. I found small fleas on her and I was wondering if they could easily get onto my clothing and into my house if I pet her. I've heard a lot of about fleas infesting the house and I'm kind of paranoid that I'll bring it inside with me. (I'm going to bring her to the vet and give her Frontline in case nobody claims her, but I don't want to spend the $ if she is somebody else's cat already)
Can anyone give me helpful advice? Also how much does deworming and frontline and all that stuff cost?

I've recently rescued a dog, I took it back to it's owners, and they didn't want him, and offered to give him to me free, we took him, a couple of days later, they are demanding some money for it. We have all of it's paperwork. If they were to take this to the police, what rights would we have? We have everything for the dog, there was no paperwork or anything to sign, it's mine and someone elses word against theres?

My cat is 17 years old. She's got thyroid problems, and is on pills for them. She's doing quite well, except for the fact that she's peeing in the house...She has a litterbox in our laundry room, which she poops in, but she pees in our plants, in the corners of our rooms, on newspapers...etc. My mom is sick of it, and wants to get her put to sleep. It seems like such a terrible reason to put her to death when otherwise she's healthy. Is there anything we can do to get her not to pee in the house? I'm not exactly sure why she wont use her litterbox. But, if you have any suggestions, I'll try anything!

okay, my dog had puppies 2 weeks ago... this morning ones eyes opened. later we took them to the breeders house{about 12:00] to get there tails and extra claw cut off, then about 12:37 we left & got home about 1:15.


when we got home the mother cleaned them, one puppy was fine, but the other one kinda got "light" and started breathe-ing slower and now its 1:48 and its still alive but weak......

is it going to live, or any suggestions?????

Ive found a breeder that mated the dogs on 27-06-2007 but they say the pups are not due for a week. im confused is this too long. could it be a false pregnancy.
