Pets - 8 September 2007

We found a foster parent for the dog. Her new name is Faith. The foster parent is working with her on her fear of other dogs. She has made great progress. The foster parent is thinking about adopting her.

I wanted to do an update because allot of people wanted one, some of wich don't allow other answers users to e-mail them.

Thanks for all of your wonderful help and words of encourgement in my time of need.

P.S. Don't worry about me, I'm not going to quit volunteering. This experance only reminded me why I wanted to volunteer. I want to help bring those kind of people to justice someday. I also want to help the pets on there road to recovery.

I am feeding my dog Canidae dog food...... I want to know how much to give her. She wieghs about10- 20 lbs and she is small sized. She is six yrs old. How much do I give her. I gave her about one third of the can right now should that be enough? I also gave her some earlier today, one third again. Is that enough? Thanks!!

i need a complete list of the supplies required to set up a saltwater aquarium. also, i will need some suggestions on which item brands are best to use...

I already have the tank, and stand, i just need to know what all i will need to keep it running propperly.

also, could someone explain to me what the difference is between a REEF tank, and a fish only tank? thanks much!

Ok, so i cae home from school an i went to go chek on my hamster.. He was awake at 4:37 pm.. So i said an hi an played with him for a bit. Then i went over to my friends house to sleep over.. The next day i came bak an he was just layin there his head against the cage bars.. I picked him up an he was completely limp.. This went on for a few more hours an he kept squeakin like he was in baaad pain.. And then his ribs started goin up an down not so fast.. But then he started squealin in pain again.. I don't no wat happend plz help!

NOTE: some exercises may be problems due to discipline (mainly number 1) but it doesn't take much time to go through, and they are fun!

I am interested in: Dog's breed(s), age, the IQ, and brief history of games and feeding.

My dog is alaskan husky/german shepherd/lab?, 7 years old, scored 57. He loves playing with his ballie and we do alot of hide and seek & talking. He eats natural dog food w/ glucosamine and Omega 3's added, plus extra yummies like eggs and popcorn and whatever the baby leaves behind.

I bought them at petco...1 is really sweet and loves to cuddle and the other is sweet as well but doesnt like to held as much..I noticed that her belly a lil swollen...could they have sold me a pregnant rat w/o knowing? how would I be able to tell if she is pregnant?

Why Does my dog pees every where around my house? Actually I live in an apartment and I dont have a back yard. He just pees on bumpy stuff like pillows, Dirty Clothes, anything basically. Sometimes hes a good boy and goes to the bathroom and pees in the shower (I thought him that), But almost everyday he pees on my leather sofa, and around corners of desks. Any tips? (No tips of beating up my dog or giving it away) Thanks :)

I have a 12 year old yellow lab that lives at my house and I take him to my momś while I work. He pants big time and will not relax until he is let outside and refuses to come in a dry cool house even if its raining or during very hot weather. A new cat started living at my momś a month ago but he started doing this 2 months ago. At my house he is very relaxed. We also have a nice cat at my house but he been good with it for 2 years. He does have a problem with my steps to the back door and my momś steps to the back door. The front steps is no problem at either house. He acts like he is in a great deal of pain only in my motherś house. Anybody with ideas what the problem is with my poor dog would be apprieceted.

I just put my cat to sleep on Thursday and I have been having horrible nightmares that we buried her alive, and this may sound silly but I need to know that the vet makes absolutley sure that she was dead (he put her straight into the box and I was not in the room when it happened) . Also I dont know what she was sick from if anyone could tell me I would be grateful. Her symptoms included trouble breathing, sudden urination everywhere, loss of appetite, she became lethargic, she had what I can only describe as gunk in her eyes I assume that this was from crying, and she stopped grooming herself, and she layed completly stretched out she never curled up anymore. Even through all this she was still very loving and purred right up to the end.

When answering please dont joke I just lost her, and I had fluffy for 14 years.

so my mom decided to go to the animal shelter and get the oldest cat there so it could have a better life. we had 4 other cats at the time. we were keeping Gracie in my older sister's room until she was settled in. the dog was not being that mean but the other cats were. we have had the cat for maybe 2-3 months now and she still has to stay in my sisters room. she can only be around Chloe. Chloe is old and does not try to hurt anyone. chase can come in but he does not attack her he just comes up to her and she gets mad. we take very good care of our pets and we did not see this coming. i really want Gracie to be happy. how can we handle this? i feel terrible. any advice would be wonderful.

Why are Pitbulls always used for fighting? I don't mean that they are ONLY used for fighting purposes, but what I'm saying is howcome they are the only breed chosen for this sick game? There are many other strong and aggressive dogs, so why is it that people pick pitbulls?
