I am feeding my dog Canidae dog food...... I want to know how much to give her. She wieghs about10- 20 lbs and she is small sized. She is six yrs old. How much do I give her. I gave her about one third of the can right now should that be enough? I also gave her some earlier today, one third again. Is that enough? Thanks!!

Since I don't used canned food all I can offer is this, which applies to any food since some dogs need more and some need less.

If your dog has a visible "waist" when viewed from above, and you can easily feel her ribs under a thin layer of fat, she's at a good weight. Keep doing what you're doing.

If she has no visible "waist" and its hard to feel her ribs, she could lose a little. Cut back on the food a little.

Most people know what an underfed dog looks like, and in this case you'd feed a little more to get her to weight.

Yes, that's about right. When my dog gets the occasional canned treat as a meal, we give him a third to a half. If your dog is closer to twenty than ten, I'd go with half a can. If she's closer to ten than twenty, either stay with third of a can or vary it between a third and a half.

Just for a quick reference, you can visit their website too. It tells you in cups and grams how much to feed, depending on weight.
